Two grinding wheels are given a specific pressure to press on the test piece and rotate. The axes of the grinding wheels are parallel to the horizontal plane, one grinding wheel faces outward and the other faces inward. All changes in the test piece are recorded within a certain period of time. 4 Device 4.1 Sample platform, horizontal rotation, rotation speed (60 ± 5) r/min. 4.2 Sample holder, flat, round, detachable. 4.3 Support arms, two, with grinding wheels, the inner edge of the grinding wheel is (26.20 ± 0.25) mm from the axis of the specimen platform, each grinding wheel applies a force of (250 ± 10) g to the test specimen. : 4.4 Vacuum suction nozzle, located above the surface of the test specimen. 4.5 Counter, indicating the number of rotations of the specimen platform. 4.6 Grinding wheel, tungsten-carbon wheel or rubber wheel, width (12.7 ± 0.1) mm, maximum diameter 51.7 mm, minimum diameter 44.0 mm. The diameter of the grinding wheel should be consistent during the test and should be recorded in the test report. Note: The grinding wheel will gradually consume during use. The maximum diameter of a new wheel is 51.7 mm. Used grinding wheels should be discontinued when the diameter is less than 44.0 mm. 4.7 Loading, the force exerted by the grinding wheel on the specimen is: 250g (without weight block), (500±10)g (with weight block) or (1000±20)g (with weight block). 4.8 Specimen fixing sheet, minimum thickness 1.0mm, for bonding when necessary to maintain the hardness and flatness of the specimen 4.9 Dust suction device, with a suitable interface to connect the vacuum nozzle (4.4). 4.10 Sandpaper, silicon carbon type, E150 grade. 4.11 Soft brush, or compressed air. 4.12 Brush, hard bristle brush. 4.13 Grey sample card, in accordance with the provisions of GB250-1995. QB/T 2726-2005 5 Sampling and preparation of test specimens 5.1 Sampling Perform as specified in QB/T2706. 5.2 Preparation of test specimens Cut 3 circular test specimens with a diameter of (106±1) mm and a suitable hole in the center. If necessary, fix them with the test specimen fixing sheet (4.8). 5.3 Air conditioning of test specimens: Perform as specified in QB/T2707. 6 Procedure 6.1 Preparation of new grinding wheel 6.1.1 Prepare a new rubber grinding wheel according to 6.1.2 to 6.1.8. Prepare a new tungsten-carbon grinding wheel according to 6.1.9. Mount the rubber grinding wheel on the support arm (4.3) with the label side facing outwards. 6.1.2 Increase the weight (4.7) so that the weight on each grinding wheel is 1000 g. 6.1.3 6.1.4 Select the appropriate sandpaper (4.10) and place it on the specimen holder. 6.1.5 Place the grinding wheel on the surface of the sandpaper, turn on the dust suction device, start the machine, and run it for 20 revolutions. 6.1.6 Replace the sandpaper and repeat the operation in 6.1.5. Check the grinding wheel. If the color is not consistent, reprocess it with new sandpaper. If the color is still not consistent, discard the grinding wheel. 6.1.7 6.1.8 Remove the debris with a soft brush or compressed air (4.11). 6.1.9 Use a hard brush (4.12) to brush off the surface attachment and prepare a new tungsten-carbon grinding wheel. 6.2 Friction test specimen 6.2.1 Install the prepared new grinding wheel (6.1) or the adjusted grinding wheel (6.3) on the support arm (4.3) in the correct position with the label facing outward. 6.2.2 Select the appropriate load (4.7): 250g, 500g or 1000g.
