: This standard is a revision of B8871—1999 "Hard alloy seal rings for mechanical seals". This standard retains the parts of B8871-1999 that have been proven to be applicable, adds new specifications and new grades of hard alloy seal rings for mechanical seals in recent years, and classifies them according to alloy composition, adds a table of contents, foreword and reference names, and supplements the dimensions and tolerances of hard alloy seal rings included in the original standard and compiles them into the appendix for user reference. This standard replaces B8871—1999.
Appendices A to F of this standard are information appendices. This standard is proposed by the China Machinery Industry Federation. 3 Varieties: Specification method

The marking, packaging and storage of the rough surface of the modified alloy ring shall be carried out in accordance with GB/T5243-1985. 6.1
When the rough surface is packed, there shall be preventive measures to prevent it from being damaged during transportation. 6.3
The packing box should have a moisture-proof code mark.
