ICS65.160 Registration number: 10499—2002 Tobacco Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China YC/T37.6-2002 Replaces YC/T37.6-1996 Test of filters physical characteristics--Part 6:Circularity Published on 2002-05-14 State Tobacco Monopoly Administration Implementation on 2002-07-01 YC/T 37.6—2002 This part is the sixth part in the YC/T37 "Determination of physical properties of filter rods" series of standards. This series of standards consists of seven parts: Determination of physical properties of filter rods Part 1: Length Photoelectric method Determination of physical properties of filter rods Part 2: Circumference Determination of physical properties of filter rods Part 3: Absorption resistance Determination of physical properties of filter rods Part 4: Hardness Determination of physical properties of filter rods Part 5: Moisture content Determination of physical properties of filter rods Part 6: Roundness Determination of physical properties of filter rods Part 7: Appearance laser method This part replaces YC/T37.6--1996 "Determination of physical properties of filter rods Part 6: Roundness". Compared with YC/T37.6--1996, this part has the following main changes: the photoelectric method is specified to determine the roundness of filter rods; the maximum diameter minus the minimum diameter of the filter rod is used instead of the determination method of the difference between the two diameters of the filter rod overlap; the one-point method replaces the two-point method. This part was proposed by the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration. This part is under the jurisdiction of the National Tobacco Standardization Technical Committee (TC144). The drafting unit of this part: National Tobacco Quality Supervision and Inspection Center. The main drafters of this part: Feng Xiaomin, Xing Jun, Zhao Hang, Zhou Decheng, Li Xiaohui. The previous versions of the standard replaced by this part are: YC/T37.6--1996.560 1 Scope Determination of physical properties of filter rods Part 6: Roundness This part of YC/T37 specifies the determination method of filter rod roundness. This part is applicable to filter rods of various specifications. 2 Normative references YC/T 37. 6--2002 The clauses in the following documents become the clauses of this part through reference in this part of YC/T37. GB/T16447 Atmospheric environment for conditioning and testing of tobacco and tobacco products (idtISO3402) 3 Principle Use projection or photoelectric methods to measure the maximum and minimum diameters of the filter rod respectively, and the difference between the two diameters is the roundness. 4 Instruments and equipment 4.1 The instrument required for measuring roundness should meet the following requirements: - An optical system that can generate parallel light (laser or ordinary light): It can perform at least 100 rotational projection or scanning measurements on the sample; - A probe: During the measurement process, the sample rotates continuously for at least 180° - Photoelectric receiving device and data processing system; - The accuracy of the instrument measurement result (diameter): 0.01mm. 4.2 Standard rod: Accuracy (diameter) 0.003mm. 5 Determination steps According to GI3/T16447, adjust the sample and test under the corresponding environmental conditions. 5.1 Use a standard rod to calibrate the instrument. 5.2 Place the sample in the probe so that the parallel light beam shines on the middle of the sample. 5.3 When the sample rotates, project or scan the sample. 5.4 The photoelectric receiving device and data processing system give the maximum and minimum values of the sample diameter, or directly give the difference between the maximum diameter and the minimum diameter (roundness). 6 Result expression 6.1 Calculation The roundness of each filter rod is calculated according to formula (1): Roundness = [D, -- D,i YC/T37.6—2002Www.bzxZ.net Where: D—-the maximum value of the diameter of each filter rod, in millimeters (mm); Dz.-the minimum value of the diameter of each filter rod, in millimeters (mm). 6.2 The measurement results shall be expressed in millimeters, accurate to 0.01mm. Measurement report The measurement report shall include the following contents: YC/T37 Part No. Specimen marking and description; --Measurement time, instrument used and model;--Measurement environment conditions and measurement results.
