This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T1.1-2009. This standard replaces BB/T0016—2006 "Packaging Material Honeycomb Fiberboard". Compared with BB/T0016-2006, this standard has the following major technical content changes except for editorial modifications: BB/T0016-2018
deleted the normative reference document GB/T6547, and revised ISO5628 to GB/T17657-2013; (see Chapter 2, Chapter 2 of the 2006 edition);
added a schematic diagram of the honeycomb paperboard structure (see Figure 1 in 3.1); added the term for warpage (see Chapter 3); listed materials separately in Chapter 4, and requirements in Chapter 5 (see Chapter 6). 1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of honeycomb paperboard. This standard applies to the production, use and inspection of honeycomb paperboard that has not been specially treated. Honeycomb paperboards that have been specially processed such as enhanced, moisture-proof, fire-proof, and anti-static can be used as a reference. 2 Normative references

Honeycomb paper corehoneycomb core
It is a core material with a continuous honeycomb shape, which is made of multiple layers of paper or paperboard through adhesive coating, compound bonding, and then stretched. The structure is shown in Figure 2. Note:

4.1 Core paper and face paper
The core paper used in the production of honeycomb paperboard shall comply with the provisions of BB/T0074-2017, and the face paper shall comply with the provisions of GB/T13024-2016.
4.2 Adhesive
Should be non-toxic, odorless, non-corrosive, and meet the requirements of relevant national environmental protection regulations 5
Appearance quality
5.1.1 The surface of honeycomb paperboard should be clean and should not have obvious dirt (oil stains, water stains, streaks, sticky marks and other defects). Cracks, thin edges, loose corners and folds are not allowed.
5.1.2 The cut end surface of the honeycomb paperboard should be smooth and free of burrs, and the width of the crack on the cut surface should not exceed 8mm. 5.1.3 The surface of honeycomb paperboard should be flat, and the warping of a single honeycomb paperboard per meter in length in the longitudinal and transverse directions should not exceed 20mm. 5.1.4 The surface paper of honeycomb paperboard per square meter is not allowed to have damaged holes, and the number of damaged holes in the inner paper shall not exceed 2, and the diameter of any damaged hole shall be <0.5cm.

To ensure the structural strength of the honeycomb paperboard, the honeycomb paper core should be stretched as much as possible to make the honeycomb inner diameter close to the maximum value, and the aperture ratio () should be 0.7~1.1.
Degumming area
The glue coating on the contact surfaces of the honeycomb paperboard and the paper core should be uniform and sufficient, and the bonding should be firm. The sum of the degumming areas of each square meter of honeycomb paperboard should not exceed 20cm.
5.5 Physical and mechanical properties
Moisture content
The moisture content of honeycomb paperboard is (12±4)%.
Compressive strength
Compressive strength shall comply with the provisions of Table 4.

Static bending strength shall comply with the requirements of the corresponding product standards for the project or the use requirements put forward by the customer. 5.6 Food safety performance
The food safety performance of honeycomb paperboard in direct contact with food shall comply with the relevant national food safety standards and laws and regulations.
6 Test method
6.1 Sampling and sample processing
Samples shall be collected in accordance with the provisions of GB/T450, and sample processing shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T10739. 6.2 Appearance quality
6.2.1 Appearance quality shall be visually inspected under natural light or measured using measuring tools that meet the accuracy requirements. 6.2.2 Determination of maximum warpage: In the absence of external force, place a (1.00±0.02)m×(1.00±0.02)m honeycomb paperboard on a horizontal surface, and use a steel tape measure with an accuracy of 1mm or a vernier caliper with an accuracy of 0.02mm to measure the maximum height of the bottom of the sample from the horizontal surface, accurate to 1mm, which is the maximum warpage of the honeycomb paperboard. If the specimen size is less than (1.00 ± 0.02) m × (1.00 ± 0.02) m, the specimen should be cut into a square specimen as large as possible and its maximum warpage should be measured according to the above method and converted into warpage according to formula (1): Actual measured maximum warpage (mm)

6.3 Dimension deviation
Use a steel tape measure with an accuracy of 1 mm and a vernier caliper with an accuracy of 0.02 mm for measurement. .(1)
6.4 Aperture ratio

Select a honeycomb paperboard with no appearance defects and uniform honeycomb distribution of 1m or a honeycomb paperboard containing at least 60 honeycomb paper core structures, select 10 consecutive honeycomb structures with uniform distribution along the direction of honeycomb paper core stretching, draw the edge and endpoint of each honeycomb on the honeycomb paperboard surface paper, and measure the perimeter of each honeycomb of the honeycomb paper core and the distance between the edge endpoints of two adjacent honeycombs. 6.5 Degumming area
Select (1.0±0.02)m2 honeycomb paperboard with a flat surface and no defects, tear each layer of paper and honeycomb paper core separately, and the degumming of the honeycomb paperboard is not obvious at the tearing point. Record the total number of degummed honeycomb holes (n), and calculate the degumming area ST according to formula (4): 3V3×103

6 Physical and mechanical properties
6.6.1 Moisture content
The moisture content shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of GB/T462, or it can be determined by a rapid moisture meter. In arbitration, it shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of GB/T462.
6.6.2 Flat compression strength
It shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T1453-2005. 6.6.3 Static bending strength
The static bending strength determination method shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of 4.7 (three-point bending) of GB/T17657-2013. 5

7 Inspection rules
7.1 Inspection requirements

If the re-inspection results still show unqualified, the whole batch is unqualified. 8 Marking, packaging, transportation and storage
8.1 Marking
The outer packaging of honeycomb cardboard shall be marked with at least the following contents: name, quantity, manufacturer, production date, etc. 8.2 Packaging
Honeycomb cardboard is packaged in a certain quantity, and necessary packaging measures shall be taken to avoid puncture and damage, etc. 8.3 Transportation
The packaged honeycomb cardboard should be handled carefully during transportation to prevent it from falling, bumping and heavy pressure, and measures should be taken to prevent rain and snow from invading. 8.4 Storage
Honeycomb cardboard should be stored in a clean, dry, cool warehouse, neatly stacked and away from heat sources. The bottom layer should be at least 100mm above the ground. Good protective measures must be taken when storing in rainy and snowy days. BB/T0016-2018
