National Standard of the People's Republic of China Packaging recycling mark Packaging recycle mark GB18455 This standard specifies the types, names, sizes and colors of recyclable and reusable packaging and recycling packaging marks. This standard applies to all types of recyclable and reusable packaging materials (excluding dangerous goods). 2 Referenced standards The provisions contained in the following standards constitute the provisions of this standard through reference in this standard. When this standard is published, the versions shown are valid. GB/T16716-1996 General rules for the treatment and utilization of packaging waste 3 Definitions This standard adopts the following definitions. All definitions listed in GB/T16716 are applicable to this standard. Green point markgreen point mark Green packaging environmental protection mark for which the packaging producer has paid the packaging processing fee. 4 Graphics, names and material codes of the logo 4.1 There are four types of logo graphics and names, see Table 1. No. GB 18455--2001 Table 3 Logo size Note: In case of very large or very small packages, the logo size may be appropriately enlarged or reduced according to the provisions of Table 3. 5.1.2 The logo size must be proportional to the size of the package. 5.2 Logo color 5.2.1 The logo color should be printed in monochrome, generally green. If the green graphic logo is not clear due to the color of the package, other appropriate contrasting colors may be used. 5. 2.2 For reference color samples, see Table 4. Table 4 Reference Color Samples Note: Green is GSBG51001-94G03 Brilliant Green. 6 Position and Number of Marks Position of Marks The mark should be located where it is easily visible to consumers and should not cover the product inside. 6.2 Number of Marks Generally, only one mark is printed on each package. How to Use the Marks 7.1 The recycling mark should be selected correctly according to the packaging material. 7.2 Marks The marking can be printed, pasted, sprayed, etc. 7.3 The marking should be clear and ensure that it does not fall off during the recycling period. 7.4 For the packaging recycling marking method used for plastic packaging materials and containers, see Appendix A. 7.5 For packaging that is not recyclable or reusable, see Appendix B. 359 GB18455—2001 Appendix A (Suggestive Appendix) Examples of packaging recycling marking used for plastic packaging materials and containers A1 Application of “Recyclable” to plastic packaging materials and containers "Recycling and Regeneration" logo. A2 Plastic containers and packaging with a volume of more than 100mL must indicate the recycling symbol of the type of plastic with an intuitive appearance, printed or engraved on the plastic packaging material. 04 Plastic number LDPE—Plastic type A3 Logo size: must be proportional to the size of the packaging, such as on a sales package with a size of 500mm×500mm×500mm, the printing diameter must not be less than 20mm, and it must be made on the visible opposite sides of the packaging surface. A4 Logo color: The printed logo on the packaging is a single color. For packaging printed in various colors, the positive and negative principles are applied based on the color printed on the base. For example, black can be used on white and transparent objects. A5 Logo position: The logo position on the packaging must be clearly visible to consumers and not cover the internal products. A6 Plastic logo coding PET-01, HDPE-02, PVC-03, LDPE-04, PP-05, PS-06. Appendix B (Reminder Appendix) Non-recyclable and reusable packaging B1 The inner packaging of dangerous goods cannot be recycled and reused. Dangerous goods include: explosives, flammable liquids, corrosives, oxidants and organic peroxides, radioactive materials, poisonous materials, infectious materials, self-igniting materials and materials that are flammable when wet.
