Introduction to standards:

GB/T 4857 "Basic Tests for Packaging and Transport Packages" is divided into 23 parts, and this part is the 9th part of GB/T 4857. This part is equivalent to ISO 2875:2000 "Spray Test for Complete and Fully Packed Transport Packages and Unit Cargo". This part replaces GB/T 4857.9-1992 "Spray Test Method for Packaging and Transport Packages". This part of GB/T 4857 specifies the main performance requirements, test procedures and test report contents of the test equipment used in the spray test of transport packages and single cargo. It can also be used as a pretreatment method before other tests on packages to study the reduction of package strength caused by water spray. This part is applicable to the assessment of the anti-unloading performance of transport packages and single cargoes against rain and the protection ability of packaging to the contents. It can be used as a single test or as a component of a series of tests. The main changes of this part compared with GB/T 4857.9-1992 are as follows: - The scope was changed from only applicable to transport packages to applicable to transport packages and unit cargo; - A chapter on terms and definitions was added, and the term "test sample" was added; - Continuous and intermittent spraying were added to Chapter 4 Test Principles; - Method A and Method B were added to 5.2; - 6.1 to 6.3 (1992 edition) were cancelled; - Chapter 6 was added; - 5.3 Water spray system was added; - 5.4 Schematic diagram of spraying device and Figure 1 were added; - Chapter 5 (1992 edition) was modified to 7.1 (this edition); - The content of the test report was modified. 3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this part of GB/T 4857. 3.1
Test samplestestspecimen
Completely filled transport packages and unit cargo. 4 Test principle
Place the test sample on the test site and spray the surface of the test sample with water at a certain temperature at a predetermined time and rate. The spraying method is divided into continuous (method A) and intermittent (method B). 5 Test equipment and conditions
5.1 Test site
The test site should meet the following requirements:
-Insulation and heating: If it is necessary to control the temperature of the test site, the site can be insulated or heated. The ground of the site should be equipped with a 1
GB/T4857.9--2008/IS02875:2000 grid floor and a drainage port of sufficient capacity so that the sprayed water can be automatically drained away and the test sample will not be soaked in water. The striped floor should have a certain hardness, and the spacing between the strips should not be too wide to prevent deformation of the test sample; Height: The height of the test site should be appropriate, so that the distance between the water nozzle and the top of the test sample is at least 2m, which can ensure that the water can spray vertically. The area of the test site should be at least 50% larger than the bottom area of the test sample, so that the test sample is within the spray area.
5.2 Spraying device
The spraying device should meet the water spraying rate of 100L/(m2,h) ± 20L/(m2·h). The sprayed water should be fully even, and the height of the nozzle should be adjustable to keep a distance of at least 2m between the water nozzle and the top of the test sample, which should meet the requirements of Chapter 7. The installation requirements for methods A and B are as follows:
Method A (continuous spray): the nozzles are arranged neatly and fixed above the test sample, and the height can be adjusted; Method B (intermittent spray): one or several rows of nozzles are arranged along the width direction of the test sample, and the nozzles are moved along a direction greater than the length of the test sample, which should meet the requirements of Chapter 7, and the continuous spraying interval time is not more than 30s. 5.3 Water supply system bzxZ.net
Supply water at 5℃~30℃ at the rate and pressure required by 5.2. 5.4 Spraying device

GB/T4857.9—2008/IS02875:2000Put the pre-filled contents into the test sample and seal the package according to the normal sealing procedure for shipment. Note 1: If simulated contents are used, their dimensions and physical properties should be as close as possible to those of the pre-filled contents. Similarly, the sealing method should be the same as that used for shipment.
Note 2: Select a condition according to the requirements of GB/T4857.2 to pre-treat the test sample with temperature and humidity. 7 Test procedure
7.1 Calibration
7.1.1 Install the nozzle 2m above the grid floor surface, and the nozzle should be vertically downward. 7.1.2 Place several identical top-opening containers evenly on the floor, requiring that they should cover at least 25% of the floor area. The top opening area of each container should be between 0.25m~0.50m2. Its height should be between 0.25m and 0.50m. 7.1.3 Then turn on the nozzle and measure the time it takes for the first container and the last container to be filled with water. 7.1.4 The time required for the first container to be filled with water shall not be less than the time required for spraying water at a rate of 120L/(m·h); the time required for the last container to be filled with water shall not be more than the time required for spraying water at a rate of 80L/(m2·h). 7.2 Test steps
7.2.1 Adjust the height of the nozzle so that the distance between the nozzle and the nearest point on the top of the test sample is at least 2m. Turn on the nozzle until the entire system reaches a state of equilibrium. Unless otherwise specified, the temperature of the sprayed water and the temperature of the test site shall be between 5℃ and 30℃. GB/T4857.9—2008/IS02875:20007.2.2 Place the test sample at the test site, at the predetermined position and temperature, so that water can fall on the test sample according to the calibration standard and spray continuously for a predetermined time. 7.2.3 Check the test sample and its contents to see if there is any degradation of waterproof performance or water seepage. 8 Test report
The test report shall include the following contents:
a) Description of the test being carried out in accordance with this part;
b) Name and address of the laboratory, name and address of the customer: unique mark of the report;
Date of receipt of the test article and date and number of days of completion of the test: name, position and signature of the person in charge;
