Two standards, including "Liquid Loading and Unloading Arm" organized by the Process Piping Design Technology Center of the Ministry of Chemical Industry and edited by the Sixth Design Institute of the Ministry of Chemical Industry, and "Polytetrafluoroethylene-Rubber Composite Gasket for Pipe Flange" edited by the Process Piping Design Technology Center have been reviewed and approved as recommended standards, with the numbers HG/T21608--96 "Liquid Loading and Unloading Arm" and HG/T21609-96 "Polytetrafluoroethylene-Rubber Composite Gasket for Pipe Flange". They will be implemented from January 1, 1997.

1Subject Content and Scope of Application
1.0.1This standard specifies the type, size, nominal pressure, operating temperature and technical requirements of polytetrafluoroethylene-rubber composite gaskets for pipe flanges. 1.0.2This standard is applicable to polytetrafluoroethylene-rubber composite gaskets for raised face and full-face pipe flanges with corrosive media or high cleanliness requirements in the chemical, petrochemical, textile, pharmaceutical and other sectors.
1.0.3 Pressure range
Nominal pressure PN≤2.5MPa
1.0.4 Temperature range
Gasket use temperature 0~130℃.
3 Product classification and basic parameters
3.0.1 Product classification
3.0.1.1 Polytetrafluoroethylene-rubber (PTFE/R) composite gaskets are divided into two types according to the structural type:
Type A---Ordinary type see Figure 3.0.1.1-1; Type B--Full plane type see Figure 3.0.1.1--2.4

(1) The pressure level of type A gasket is divided into four types: 1.01.6, 2.5MPa and 2.0MPa.
2.0MPa gaskets are matched with GB9116.8 flanges (equivalent to the US ANSIB16.5 flanges).
1.0.1.6.2.5MPa gaskets are matched with GB9116.4~6 flanges, and can also be matched with HGJ46 pipe flanges.
(2) The pressure level of type B gasket is divided into four types: 0.6, 1.0, 1.6 and 2.0MPa. 2.0MPa gaskets are matched with GB9116.3 flanges, and 1.0.1.6MPa gaskets are matched with GB9116.1~2 flanges.
