National Standard of the People's Republic of China White flare parachute signai for ships White flare parachute signai for ships1 Subject content and scope of application GB 3107.5-91 Replaces GB 3107. 5--82 This standard specifies the type, basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules of white flare parachute signals for ships. This standard applies to white flare parachute signals used for ships in distress, lifesaving stations and for guiding landing rescue. It meets the 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea and the 1969 International Code of Signals adopted by the International Maritime Organization. 2 Reference standards GB3107.1 General technical conditions for pyrotechnic signals for ships3 Product classification 3.1 Type and size 3.1.1 White flare parachute signals for ships are rocket-propelled pull-type or percussion-ignited flame-type pyrotechnic signals. Its main components include: a. rocket thruster; signal body: parachute and accessories; igniter: shell and guide tube: connector; safety cover and top cover signal body should be composed of ignition powder, ignition powder, signal powder, etc. The outer diameter of the ship's white light parachute signal should not exceed 50mm, the total length should not exceed 295mm, and the total mass should not exceed 3. 1. 3 450g. 3.1.4 The rocket engine should be composed of the rocket body, ignition powder, propellant and delay powder, etc. 3.2 Marking example A white light parachute signal (BGS) that is propelled by a rocket to 300m in the air, emits a white light intensity of 15000cd, and burns for 30s is marked as: BGS30-15000GB3107.5-91 4 Technical requirements 4.1 The manufacture of marine white light parachute signals shall comply with the requirements of Chapter 4 of GB3107.1. 4.2 The technical performance of white light parachute signals shall meet the following requirements: rocket propulsion altitude shall not be less than 300m; white light intensity shall not be less than 15000cd white light duration shall not be less than 30s; Approved by the State Administration of Technical Supervision on May 22, 1991 and implemented on March 1, 1992 GB 3107.5 --91 d. The continuous burning of white light should not burn the parachute and accessories, and its descending speed should not exceed 5m/s. 4.3 This product should work effectively after repeating 10 cycles at an ambient temperature of -30 to +65℃. 4.4 It should be able to withstand single tests of low temperature -30℃ and high temperature +65℃, and work effectively at this temperature. 4.5 It can work effectively in any sea conditions of high temperature +65℃ and relative humidity of 90%. 4.6 This product should work effectively after being immersed horizontally in 1m deep water for 24h. 4.7 This product should not be affected in its performance after being immersed in 10cm deep water for 5min in the ready-to-launch state. 4.8 This product should be able to withstand the salt spray test of 20% NaCI solution. 4.9 This product should be safe and reliable when ignited, its initial thrust should be appropriate, and the ignition flame should not burn the hands of the person who releases it. 4.10 This product is still in a safe state and works effectively after falling freely from a height of 2m according to the specified test method. After ignition and during combustion, it will not harm the operator and any nearby personnel. 4.11 The metal parts involved in the manufacture of this product shall be treated with anti-corrosion and anti-rust. 5 Test method The test method of this product shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 5 of GB3107.1. 6 Inspection rules 6.1 The inspection rules of this product shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 6 of GB3107.1. 6.2 The items, technical requirements and sampling quantity of the product factory inspection shall be in accordance with the requirements of Table 1. If one of the items is still unqualified after the re-inspection, all of them shall be returned for repair and re-inspection. 6.2.2 If one of the performance of this product is unqualified, it shall be re-tested at double the number. If one of the items is still unqualified after the re-inspection, the whole batch shall be scrapped. 6.3 Before obtaining the product approval certificate, this product shall be batched with 240 pieces; after obtaining the approval certificate, it shall be batched with 480 pieces. 6.4 The light intensity test of this product shall be conducted every 5 batches and meet the requirements of 4.2b. Marking, packaging, transportation and storage The marking, packaging, transportation and storage of this product shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 7 of GB3107.1.
