With the development of intellectual property, the scope of intellectual property is constantly expanding, and the relevant literature information is growing rapidly. However, the existing literature classification method cannot effectively classify it, which affects the processing, handling, exchange and utilization of intellectual property literature information. Therefore, it is urgent to formulate corresponding classification standards in combination with the practice of intellectual property work in my country. The formulation and promotion of this standard will provide a basis for the classification of intellectual property document information, realize the standardization and standardization of classification and indexing, and play a positive role in promoting the efficient management and utilization of intellectual property document information. GB/T21374-2008 and the following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3.1
Intellectual Property Documentation and Information Intellectual Property Documentation and Information Documentation and information on intellectual property theories, systems and related activities recorded in various media in the form of text, graphics, symbols, audio, video, etc.
Classification Schedule Based on the relationship between categories, intellectual property documents and information are organized according to certain principles. The composition includes basic major category table, main table, sub-category table and category notes. 3.3

A collection of things with the same attributes is also called a class. 3.4

Main schedule
A list of all categories in the classification schedule, which is the main basis for the classification and indexing of intellectual property documents and information. 3.6
Subdivision schedule
Extract the common contents appearing in intellectual property documents and information, and compile them into a separate table for further subdivision of the relevant categories in the main schedule.
Note: Subdivision schedules include the world country (region) code table and the special subdivision table. The world country (region) code is suitable for further subdivision of the main schedule. This index is composed of a complete classification system consisting of a basic category table, a main table, a sub-table and category annotations. Among them, the sub-table includes the world country (region) code table and a special sub-table. The world country (region) code table refers to GB/T2659, and the special sub-table is attached to the specific category of the main table.
5 Coding method
5.1 Main table category code
The main table category code of this standard is expressed in Arabic numerals and uses the decimal classification method. There are three levels of main table category hierarchy. Each level of category is expressed by two Arabic numerals (0I~99). The second-level and below category codes are composed of the upper category code plus the sequence code. The world country (region) code table quotes the Arabic numeral code of GB/T2659 and adds the symbol "_" in front of it. The world country (region) code table codes are consistent with the main table country code. When the codes are used in combination, they are placed after the category code of the register table. The classification code of the special sub-table is composed of the symbol "" plus an Arabic numeral. When the special sub-table code is used in combination with the category code of the main table, it should be placed after the category code of the main table. When the world country (region) code table code is used in combination with the special sub-table code, the world country (region) code table code is placed after the special sub-table code.
