Compared with the previous version, this standard has the following main differences: The scope of application is expanded from unit weight 15kg to unit weight ≤40kg. The GZ-93 brand is cancelled and the GZ-96 brand is added. The refractoriness index is cancelled. The true density, apparent porosity and room temperature strength index are adjusted. The size tolerance and appearance requirements of bricks are tightened. This standard replaces GB/T 2608-1987 from the date of implementation. This standard was proposed by the former State Metallurgical Industry Bureau. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Refractory Standardization Technical Committee. The drafting units of this standard are: Luoyang Refractory Group Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou Yuhua Enterprise Group Co., Ltd., Beijing Coking Plant Shanxi Xixiaoping Refractory Company, Shandong Boshan Beihekou Refractory Factory, Shandong Zibo Bridge Industrial Company Refractory Factory. The main drafters of this standard are Du Wenzhong, Zhang Xicheng, Hou Junjie, Zhang Huirong, Mu Kexiao, and Gao Xuzhu. 1 Scope National Standard of the People's Republic of China Silica refractory bricks GB/T 2608--2001 Replaces GB/T 2608-1987 This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection regulations, packaging, marking, transportation, storage and quality certificate of silica bricks.
