A.1 Scope of application
Appendix A
(Informative Appendix)
Method for measuring the internal cleanliness of steel drums
This method is applicable to closed steel drums with surface treatment or open steel drums with closures. The surface treatment methods include internal coating, phosphorus-free treatment and phosphating treatment.
A.2 Testing basis
A.2.1 The test sample liquid is sent to a third-party testing agency for testing. The test reference standard is the American National Aerospace Standard NAS1638, and the NAS level of the sample liquid is judged.
2 The test sample liquid is filtered and made into a visible clip, which is used as the qualified standard for acceptance by both the supply and demand parties. A.2.2
A.3 Experimental steps
A.3.1 Preparation of cleaning solvent
Pure water can be used for the inner coating barrel, and xylene can be used for the steel barrel treated by other methods. The amount of cleaning solvent is 5L.
A.3.1.3 Before use, filter the solvent with a 0.8μm~1μm filter to ensure that the solvent is completely clean before use. 2 Cleaning the steel barrel to be tested
Pour the clean solvent into the barrel through the barrel mouth. The injection process should ensure that there is no contamination in the steel barrel. A.3.2.1
A.3.2.2 Rotate and tilt the steel barrel to clean all parts in the barrel, including the top, bottom and barrel body. The cleaning methods of each component are as follows: Barrel bottom cleaning: Place the steel barrel on the rotating table, with the bottom of the barrel at the bottom, and place it upright, then rotate the steel barrel to clean every corner of the barrel bottom;
Barrel body cleaning: Place the steel barrel horizontally on the roller, rotate the steel barrel, and clean every part of the barrel body. Barrel top cleaning: Place the steel barrel upside down on the rotating table, with the top of the barrel at the bottom, and place it upright, then rotate the steel barrel, and clean every corner of the barrel top.
After cleaning, use a pump to extract the solvent in the barrel, and the extraction volume should be no less than 95% of the injection volume. A.3.2.3
Use a clean and transparent glass bottle to hold the extracted solvent; mark the traceable content such as the solvent name, the name of the cleaning barrel and the cleaning time. A.3.2.4
3 Solvent testing after cleaning
Outsource to a third-party testing agency to determine the NAS level. A.3.3.2
The method of making the self-test sample is as follows:
Use special filtering equipment to filter the cleaning solvent; a)
Residual impurities on the filter cloth with a pore size of 37μm (400 mesh); b)
Clamp the filter cloth with a glass sample and seal it; Mark the steel drum batch number, test date and tester information as the basis for acceptance by both the supply and demand parties. d)
