3.1~-General requirements
3.1.1 Engine room bilge paint should be able to be applied and dried in normal environment and under safe conditions. 3.1.2 At a temperature of 20-25℃, the applicable period of two-component paint shall be in accordance with the technical requirements of each product manufacturer. 3.1.3 The engine room bilge paint should be able to be evenly stirred manually or mechanically in the original container for at least one year from the date of manufacture. 3.1.4 The engine room bilge paint should be compatible with commonly used workshop primers. 3.1.5 The engine room bilge paint should be suitable for brushing, rolling and airless high-pressure spraying, and no sagging should occur during construction within the specified coating thickness.
3.1.6 When the engine room bottom coating is naturally aged or damaged, it should be able to be repaired with the original engine room bottom coating system. 3.1.7 The engine room bottom coating should have good miscibility with the specified thinner. 3.1.8 Before the engine room bottom coating is applied, the steel surface must be thoroughly derusted and degreased. The rust removal requirement is St3 level in GB8923.
Approved by the State Administration of Technical Supervision on September 9, 1993 and implemented on May 1, 1994
