Machinery Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China Large Alloy Structural Steel Forgings 1 Subject Content and Scope of Application This standard specifies the technical requirements for ordering, manufacturing and acceptance of alloy structural steel forgings. This standard applies to alloy structural steel forgings for general purposes. 2 Reference standards Sample sampling method for chemical analysis of steel and allowable deviation of chemical composition of finished products GB222 GB223 Chemical analysis method for steel and Taijin Metal tensile test method||tt| |GB228 GB 229 Metal Charpy (U-notch) impact test method GB231 Metal Brinell hardness test method Metal Charpy (V-notch) impact test method GB 2106 JB/T6397 Large Carbon Structural Steel Forgings 3 Ordering Requirements 3.1 The buyer should specify the name, category, steel number, delivery status and supply of the forgings in the order contract quantity of goods. 3.2 The purchaser should provide ordering drawings and related finishing drawings. 3.3 When the buyer has additional requirements, they should be agreed upon by both parties. 4Manufacture 4.1 The method of steel making for forgings shall be decided by the supplier. JB/T6396-92 4.2 The nozzle and riser of each steel ingot should be sufficiently removed to ensure that the forgings have no shrinkage holes and severe segregation. 4.3 Forgings should be forged and formed on a forging press with sufficient capacity to ensure that the interior of the forgings is fully forged. 4.4 Heat treatment should be carried out according to the delivery status of forgings specified in the order contract. 5 Technical requirements 5.1 Chemical composition 5.1.1 The chemical composition of steel shall comply with the provisions of Table 1. 5.1.2 The residual element content in steel shall be as follows: Cr ≤0.30% Ni ≤0.30% Cu ≤0.20% 5.1.3 The allowable deviation of the analysis results of finished forgings should comply with the provisions of Table 2. 5.2 Mechanical properties The mechanical properties of forgings should comply with the requirements in Table 3. 5.3 Appearance, dimensions and tolerances Approved by the Ministry of Mechanical and Electronics Industry of the People's Republic of China on 1992-07-14 276 Implemented on 1993-07-07 JB/T6396—92||tt| |5.3.1 Forgings are not allowed to have cracks, folds, shrinkage holes and other defects that seriously affect the surface quality. 5.3.2 The dimensions and tolerances of forgings should comply with the provisions of the ordering drawing and ordering contract.
