This standard replaces GB13252-2003 "Steel pails for packaging containers". This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, transportation and storage of 17L to 24L steel pails used for transporting and storing liquid and solid dangerous goods and non-dangerous goods. This standard applies to steel pails made of thin steel plates as the main material. Compared with GB13252-2003, the main changes of this standard are as follows: - Non-dangerous goods packaging has been added to the classification of steel pails, and notes have been added to Table 1; - Some dimensions have been revised; - Airtightness test: the test pressure of Class Ⅰ barrels of Category 3 and 4 has been changed to 30 kPa; - Hydraulic test: the test pressure of Class Ⅰ barrels of Category 3 and 4 has been changed to 250 kPa, and the test pressure of Class Ⅲ barrels of Category 3 and 4 has been changed to 100 kPa; - Drop height: the drop height of Class Ⅰ, Class Ⅱ and Class Ⅲ barrels has been changed to 1.8m, 1.2m and 0.8m respectively, and the drop height of non-dangerous goods packaging barrels has been changed to 0.8m; - Strength of handles and rings: the test force has been changed to 600N. This standard is applicable to steel buckets made of thin steel plates as the main material. ||

6 Materials and accessories
6.1 The performance indicators of steel plates and steel wires shall comply with the provisions of relevant national standards. 6.2 The sealing fillers for buckets shall be made of materials with good sealing performance and suitable for the contents. 6.3 The paint for buckets shall be made of materials with strong adhesion and good weather resistance. The inner wall paint shall be made of materials corresponding to the contents of the bucket. When directly in contact with food, medicine and food additives, the inner wall of the bucket shall comply with the provisions of relevant health standards. 7 Requirements
7.1 Basic requirements
7.1.1 Appearance requirements
The inner and outer surfaces of the bucket are smooth and neat, without obvious pits and rust. The curling edges are uniform, without wrinkles, thorns and iron tongues. The seams are flat and uniform, without olefin nodules. The coating color is uniform, without obvious defects such as discoloration, sagging, blistering and scratches. 7.1.2 Barrel body type
For barrels of type 1 and 2, there should be a ring rib for crowning. For barrels of type 3 and 4, whether to have a ring rib is determined by both parties.
7.1.3 Size requirements
The size of the barrel should comply with the provisions of Chapter 5. Special specifications shall be determined by both parties. 7.1.4 Hygiene requirements
Barrels used for food, medicine and food additives shall comply with the Food Hygiene Law and relevant standards and regulations. 7.2 Performance requirements
7.2.1 Airtight performance
After the airtight test, the barrel should not leak. 7.2.2 Hydraulic performance
After the hydraulic test, the 3.1-class barrels for corrugated packaging shall not leak. 7.2.3 Drop resistance
After the drop test, the barrel shall not leak.
7.2.4 Stacking resistance
After the stacking test, the barrel shall not leak or deform, which may affect the transportation safety. 7.2.5 Strength of handles and handle rings
After the J&S test, the handles, handle rings and handles shall not break or be damaged. 7.2.6 Coating adhesion
The coating adhesion shall be better than Class 2.
8 Test method
Appearance, type, size
The appearance quality and barrel body type shall be checked by daily measurement. The universal or special ruler can be used for testing. 8.2 Air tightness test GB/T13252-2008 The air tightness test shall be carried out in accordance with G/T17344.
