GB/T 14528--93 This standard is applicable to the repair performance test of a complete set of ship coatings on an aged or damaged old coating. 2 Reference standards G 1764 G3 1767 GB3186 GB 5210 GB 5370 (G13 7789 GB9286 3 Principle Determination of film thickness Determination of film weathering resistance Sampling of paint products Determination of coating adhesion by pull-off method Shallow sea immersion test method for antifouling paint Dynamic test method for antifouling performance of ship antifouling paint Rust level and rust removal level of steel surface before painting. Scratching test of paint film The repair performance of paint depends mainly on the adhesion between the new coating after repair and the original coating. This standard is used to measure the adhesion of a new coating of a coating system to an old coating of the same or different system that has aged or damaged to indicate the repair performance of the coating. 4 Test elements 4.1 Test plate 4. 1.1 The test panels for the repair test of the coating system used for the bottom of the ship or the parts below the waterline must be the test panels that have been subjected to the flowing water immersion test for more than three months according to GB 5370 or the test panels that have been subjected to the dynamic test for more than one cycle according to GB7789. 4.1.2 The test panels for the repair test of the coating system used for the parts above the waterline must be the test panels that have been subjected to the ocean atmosphere exposure test for more than three months according to GB1767. 4.2 Repair paints The coating system used for the repair test should generally be the same system as the original coating. Different systems can also be used. The test coating system includes primer, intermediate layer, topcoat (or antifouling paint), and is painted with different colors for identification. 4.3 Sampling The sampling of the repair coating shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB3186. 4.4 Washing conditions The coated parts shall comply with the provisions of the product technical instructions of the coating system. State Administration of Technical Supervision 1993-07-21 Approved for implementation on March 1, 1994 W5 test procedure 5.1 Test panel treatment GB/T 14528 -- 93 5.1.1 According to 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 The sample plates that have been subjected to the flowing seawater immersion test, dynamic test or marine atmospheric exposure test shall be cleaned with self-required water and then dried. 5.1.2 For the test plates treated according to 5.1.1, the coating thickness shall be measured by the coating thickness gauge according to the provisions of GB1764, and then the test plates shall be divided longitudinally into 8 strips with a width of 30 to 40 mm (depending on the width of the test plates). The strips shall be numbered from the middle to both sides, as shown in Figure 1. 30~40 5.1.3 On the first strip 1:, completely remove the coating film and grind the steel plate with No. 0 emery cloth to the St3 grade in GB8923: On the second strip, grind off about half of the coating film thickness with No. 0 emery cloth, and verify with the coating thickness gauge while grinding: On the 3rd to 6th strips, use No. 0 emery cloth to lightly roughen. 5.2 Painting Paint overlap distribution of repair paint is shown in Figure 2. 5.2.1 Apply primer on the first stripe. 2 New source primer intermediate layer .GB/T 14528- 93 5.2.2 Apply intermediate paint on the first stripe and the second stripe. 5.2.3 Apply the first topcoat on the first to fourth stripes. 5.2.4 Apply the second topcoat on the first to sixth stripes. 5.2.5 During the coating process, any possible biting, bleeding or softening should be recorded. 5.3 Conditioning After the last touch-up paint is applied, the test panel shall be exposed to the dry medium specified in the product technical manual of the coating system for one week, and then placed in an environment of 23°C, 2°C and 50% to 5% humidity for not less than 16 hours, and then the adhesion shall be measured according to 5.4. 5.4 Performance test of coating layer 5.4.1 Method A - Pull-off method On the worn area and its adjacent repainted area and the original paint strip, take several representative paint layer areas, cut them into 30mmX30mm square pieces, take five pieces from each coating area, and conduct adhesion test according to GB5210. 5.4.2 Method B - Grid method On each representative paint layer area of the test plate, conduct the grid method adhesion test according to GB9286. 6 Test results Compare the adhesion performance of the original paint strip and the new paint film at the repaired area according to the adhesion test results. 6.1 If the adhesion test is conducted according to method 5.4, the results are compared with the average adhesion values measured on each paint strip. 6.2 If the adhesion test is conducted according to method 5.4B, the results are graded and compared according to GB9286. 7 Test report The test report shall include the following contents: Model and name of the coating system to be repaired and the results of the immersion test or explosion test; b. Model and name of the repair coating system; Abnormal conditions observed during the bonding and drying process; Adhesion test results; Other conditions that may affect the test and test conditions that are different from those specified in this standard; Test date.
