This standard is formulated on the basis of the former Light Industry Ministry Standard SG17780 "Electrician's Knife". Based on the original standard, this standard has made the following changes: 1. The types of electrician's knives are divided into single-use and multi-use according to their uses; 2. The handle length is retained in the basic dimensions, and the tolerance, blade thickness and saw blade tooth pitch are cancelled; 3. The selection of materials shall comply with the provisions of the technical requirements of this standard; 4. The sampling method specified in GB2828 shall be adopted for inspection and measurement; 5. The marking, packaging, transportation and storage shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB5305. From the date of implementation of this standard, the former Light Industry Ministry Standard SG177-80 "Electrician's Knife" will be abolished at the same time. This standard is proposed by the Quality Standards Department of the China Light Industry Association. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Tool Hardware Standardization Center. The drafting units of this standard are: Shanghai Tool Industry Research Institute, Shanghai Dongfeng Cutting Tool Factory, Shanghai Pudong Changdu Industrial Company, Suzhou Knife Factory.

3.1 Classification and type
Electrician's knives can be divided into single-use electrician's knives (Type A) and multi-purpose electrician's knives (Type B) according to their use and structure: their types are shown in Figures 1 and 2.

3.2 Basic dimensions
The basic dimensions of electrician's knives shall be as specified in Table 1.

4 Technical requirements
4.1 Materials

The selection of materials for electrician's knives shall comply with the provisions of the technical requirements of this standard. 4.2 Hardness
4.2.1 The hardness of the blade shall not be less than 54HRC. 4.2.2 The hardness of the spring shall not be less than 40HRC. 4.3 Edge
4.3.1 The edge of the blade shall be free of obvious burrs, white edges1) and other phenomena. Note: 1) The part where the two sides of the blade do not intersect. 4,3.2 The edge line has no wavy shape and the width of the blade surface is uniform. The edge should be sharp and can easily remove the insulation layer of the wire. 4.3.3
4.4 Opening and closing performance
4,4.1. The opening force of the blade should not exceed 30N. 4.4.2 When the blade is closed, the edge should not touch the liner shell and the tip of the blade should not be exposed. 4.4.3 The knife ring is easy to turn.
4.5 Surface quality
4.5.1 The surface roughness Ra value of the blade is not greater than 1.6μm, and the surface roughness Ra value of the other exposed parts is not greater than 3.2μm. 4.5.2
The rivet should not be bent, the head is straight and there is no burr. 4.5.3 There should be no cracks and burrs on the surface of the knife shell. 4.6 The technical requirements for other functional parts of the multi-purpose electrician's knife shall be separately stipulated by agreement between the supply and demand parties. 15
5 Test method

5.1 Hardness test
The hardness of the electrician's knife shall be measured at the following locations in accordance with the provisions of GB/T230: 5.1.1 The blade is tested at the front, middle and back points on a parallel line about 7mm wide from the cutting edge (the front and back points are 10mm away from the tip and root of the blade respectively). The hardness of each point shall meet the requirements of Article 4.2.1. 5.1.2 The spring is tested at the front, middle and back points on the center line of the plane (the front and back points are 10mm away from the two ends respectively). The hardness of each point shall meet the requirements of Article 4.2.2.
5.2 Cutting edge test
5.2.1 The cutting edge of the electrician's knife shall be visually inspected and shall meet the requirements of Articles 4.3.1 and 4.3.2. 5.2.2 The sharpness of the electrician's knife shall be tested by hand feel. When the insulation layer of the core conductor is removed at an angle of 30° to 40°, it shall meet the requirements of Article 4.3.3.
5.3 Opening test
As shown in Figure 3, fix the knife body so that the line connecting the center of the nail groove and the center of the blade hole remains horizontal. The maximum opening force shall meet the requirements of Article 4.4.1 when the measuring position is in the normal direction of the center of the nail groove. Fixed knife body installation

5.4 Blade closure test
The blade closure of the electrician's knife shall be visually inspected and shall meet the requirements of Article 4.4.2. 5.5 Knife ring rotation test
The knife ring rotation test of the electrician's knife shall be visually inspected by hand feel and shall meet the requirements of Articles 4.4 and 3. 5.6 Surface quality test
The surface quality of the electrician's knife shall be inspected by sample and visual inspection and shall meet the requirements of Article 4.5. 6 Inspection rules
6.1 Electrician's knives shall be inspected and qualified by the inspection department before leaving the factory, and shall be accompanied by a product certificate. 16

6.2 Acceptance inspection shall be carried out item by item according to the single sampling plan specified in GB 2828. 6.3 The classification of unqualified acceptance inspection, inspection items, qualified quality level (AQL) and inspection level (IL) shall be in accordance with the provisions of Table 2.
