This standard specifies the barcode reduction rules in the cold chain logistics of agricultural products. Symbols represent inspection and quality evaluation: This standard applies to the application of barcode technology in key cold chain logistics links such as agricultural product acquisition, processing, frozen storage, cold chain transportation and distribution, and refrigerated sales.

A mark consisting of a group of regularly arranged bars, spaces and their corresponding characters to indicate certain information [GBT1290520C0 definition 2.1]
Cold chain logistics is a logistics activity based on freezing technology and refrigeration technology, so that cold chain goods are always kept in a specified temperature environment from production, circulation, sales to consumers, so as to ensure the quality of cold chain goods and reduce the loss of cold chain goods. [GB/T28577-2312, definition 3.4]
A. Coding rules
4.1 Coding objects
The coding objects of agricultural product cold chain logistics include the information related to logistics objects, logistics facilities and equipment, and logistics participants in the process of agricultural product acquisition, processing, frozen storage, cold chain transportation and distribution, refrigerated sales, etc. The process of agricultural product cold chain logistics and the coding objects of each link are shown in Appendix A. The application examples of agricultural product cold chain logistics unified code are shown in Appendix B. 4.2 Coding of agricultural product trade items
4.2.1 Agricultural product trade item code
Agricultural product trade item code is represented by GTIN (Global Trade Item Number Global Trade Item Country Code). The four data structures of GTIN are shown in Table 1 and Table 4. The prefix code, manufacturer identification code, item code and check digit are shown in GGB/T16830

Note: The extended position N distinguishes the cold chain logistics units of agricultural products with different packaging types. When the value of N is 1, it indicates a box, when the value of N is 2, it indicates a pack, when the value of N is 3, it indicates a consignment, when the value of N is 4, it indicates a container pen, and when the value of N is 9, it indicates other packaging types. 4.4 Coding of participants in the cold chain logistics of agricultural products Agricultural product acquirers, processors, cold chain logistics service providers and sellers are participants in the cold chain logistics of agricultural products. Their subject identity and location information are coded and represented by GLN (Global Location Number, participant location coding, see GB/T16828 for details). The coding data structure is shown in Table 7. When GLN is represented by a barcode symbol, it should be used together with the GLN coding application identifier. The GLN application identifier is shown in Table 8.

4.5 Coding of facilities and equipment for cold chain logistics of agricultural products Cold storage boxes, insulated boxes, low-temperature freezers and other facilities and equipment used in cold chain logistics of agricultural products are individual assets in the process of cold chain logistics of agricultural products. They are represented by GIAI (Global Individual Asset Identifier, individual asset code for the world, see GB/T 2383a for details). The encoding data format is shown in Table 9. Pallets, agricultural product transfer boxes and other facilities and equipment used in cold chain logistics of agricultural products are recyclable assets in the process of cold chain logistics of agricultural products. They are represented by GRAI (Global Returnable Asset Identifier, global recyclable asset code, see GB/T 23833 for details). The comprehensive code data format is shown in Table 10. In the cold chain logistics process of agricultural products, corresponding additional attribute information should be selected for encoding according to different information exchange and tracking and tracing requirements. Commonly used additional attribute information includes trade item code, batch number, serial number, cold chain logistics classification code, trade item quantity, net weight, source entity code, production date, packaging date, shelf life and validity period, etc. in the logistics unit. The encoding of additional attribute information consists of application identifier AI and its corresponding encoding data. For details, see GB/T16386-20094.6.2 Trade item code in logistics unit Application identifier *02\ The corresponding encoding data means the GTIN of the trade item in the logistics unit. The encoding data format is shown in Table 11. The identification code of the trade item in the logistics unit should be used together with the application identification line "37" of the same logistics unit and its corresponding encoding data of the number of trade units in the same logistics unit. If the source is a live pig, the pig ear number can be used as the source entity reference code to achieve traceability of products derived from the latter pig. The material selection and design of barcode labels shall meet the requirements of the cold chain logistics environment of agricultural products, and shall not produce defects such as displacement, wrinkles, deformation, damage, bubbles, de-inking, etc. that affect the reading of barcode symbols during the process of frozen processing, frozen storage, refrigerated transportation and refrigerated sales.
