National Standard of the People's Republic of China Indexable face milling cutters Facemiling cutters with indexable insertsUDC 621.914 GB 5342-—85 This standard applies to taper shank face milling cutters and sleeve face milling cutters with carbide indexable inserts. The "type and size" part of the sleeve face milling cutter in this standard is formulated with reference to the international standard ISO6462-1983 "Face milling cutters with indexable inserts-Dimensions", and is divided into three types: A, B, and C according to their fixing methods. 1 Type and size The type and size of taper shank milling cutters shall be as per Figure 1 and Table 1. 1.1 Morse taper D(js14) Basic size L(h16) Basic size 1.2 Type and size of sleeve-type face milling cutters Morse taper shank 1.2.1 Class A milling cutters use a hexagon socket screw to fix the milling cutter on the end key drive arbor.
