This standard is not equivalent to the test method for the flammability performance of textile products in GB S012. This standard is a revision of the vertical method for the determination of the rough ignition energy of GB 5455-85 textile fabrics. This revised standard adds the foreword, eliminates additional instructions, and incorporates their contents into the preface. This standard inherits the important technical contents of the original standard, and supplements and amends the name of the standard, the arrangement of sections and the technical contents. The main technical changes are as follows: 1. The name of the standard is changed to Vertical Method 3 for Textile Combustion Performance Test; 2. The composite suspended fabric laminated fabric after group combustion treatment is added to the applicable scope of the standard: 3. The original standard requires that the combustion test box be made of stainless steel, and this standard changes this requirement to heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant materials; 4. Add a chapter on referenced standards; 5. Remove the two terms of limited flame retardancy and magnetic resistance treatment in the original standard, and give the corresponding English names to the other five retained terms; 6. Add a chapter on principles:
? , increase the test personnel's class and safety chapter: B. Adjustment time: the original standard requires 8h for thin fabrics and 24h for thick fabrics. This standard is changed to B-24h in the standard atmosphere depending on the thickness of the sample until the moisture absorption and release level is reached
9. For the test mixture with sticky substances during the combustion process, add the test of whether its dripping substances cause the combustion of the absorbent cotton below. 10. The original standard 5. "Daily recording" .. The value shown on the counter multiplied by 0.1 is the number of seconds with an accuracy of 0.1?" Change to \ Take the duration time and the duration, and the reading should be accurate to 0.1s\11. Add "test station results and analysis\ Chapter 1, 12. Cancel the 7th chapter of the original standard. This standard was first issued in 195 and revised in 1997. From the date of entry into force, this standard replaces CB5455-85. This standard was proposed by the China National Textile and Apparel Council. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the Standardization Institute of the China National Textile and Apparel Council. Under specified test conditions, the material continues to burn after the ignition source is removed (ignited). 3.3 Smoldering
After flaming stops, or if it is flameless, the material continues to burn without flame after the ignition source is removed (ignited). 3.4 Smoldering time aftergluwtim
Under specified test conditions, the material continues to burn without flame after ignition stops, or after the ignition source is removed (ignited). 3.5 Damaged length
The amount of material damage area at a specified distance in a specified direction under specified test conditions. 4 Principle
Place a sample of a certain size under specified combustion conditions and ignite it. After the specified ignition time, measure the sample's afterburning, smoldering time and damage length.
5 Health and safety of test personnel
The smoke and gas produced by the combustion of textile materials have certain properties and may affect the health of workers. The test instrument can be installed in a fume hood, and the smoke and dust can be removed by intensive sampling each time the test piece is tested. However, the ventilation system should be closed when the sample burns too strongly to avoid affecting the test results. 6 Equipment and materials

Test steps
B.1 Test temperature and humidity: The test shall be carried out in an atmosphere with a temperature of 10~30°C and a relative humidity of 90%~80%. B.2 Turn on the power supply and air source.
B.3. Close the front door of the test box, press the power switch, the indicator light is on to indicate that the power is on, put the switch to the flame height measurement position, open the gas supply valve and press the ignition switch, ignite the flame, use the gas adjustment device to adjust the flame height to 40mm ± 2mm, and then put the switch to the test position, B.4 Check the continuous burning, whether the timer is in the upper position, 8.5 Set the ignition time to 129.
8.6 Put the sample into the sample, the lower edge should be flush with the lower ends of the sample, open the test box door, and hang the sample clip and the sample in the test box,
.7 Close the box door, the power indicator light should be bright, press the ignition switch, ignite the igniter, wait for 30 seconds until the flame is stable, press the switch to move the igniter to the front of the sample, and ignite the sample. At this time, the time from the sample being taken out of the sealed container must be within 1 minute. 8. After 12 days, the igniter is restored to the pulse position, the afterburning timer starts timing, and when the afterburning stops, the stop switch of the timer is immediately pressed, and the smoldering timer starts timing. After the afterburning stops, the stop switch of the timer is pressed. Read the afterburning time and the smoldering time, and the readings should be accurate to 0.15. 8.9 When testing materials made of fusible fibers, if the tested sample has any falling off during the burning process, a 10mm thick absorbent cotton should be placed on the test pin. Note that the falling off of the absorbent cotton may cause the combustion or smoldering of the absorbent cotton, and it should be recorded. 8.1 Open the front door of the test box, take out the test clamp, remove the sample, first fold it in half along the length direction of the carbonized part, then measure it under the sample, about 6m away from the bottom and side, hang the weight selected according to the mass of the sample per unit area, lift the other side of the sample with your hand, let the weight spread out, and then lower it, measure the length of the longest crack, which is the critical length, and the result is accurate to mm. 8.11 Clear the drop sheet in the test box and start the ventilation equipment to remove the smoke and gas in the test box, and then test the next sample.
