According to the measurement method, the dipstick is divided into a depth dipstick and an air dipstick. The dipstick is divided into grade and grade II according to its accuracy. 3.2 dipstick || tt||3.2.1 Material

3.2.4 Rotating hook
The rotating hook is best made of brass, and its structure must be strong to ensure that it will not deform during use . The upper end of the rotating hook is firmly fastened to the tape through riveting or other connection methods, and the lower end is connected to the depth measuring dipstick or air finding dipstick. Use a door or other method to close the clip of the rotating hook to prevent the ruler from falling off. The rotating hook recommended by this standard is shown in Figures 1 and 2. 3.2.5 Scales and scale numbers
The entire length of the ruler tape should be etched or printed, and the meter, decimeter, centimeter, millimeter scales and meter, decimeter, centimeter scale numbers should be evenly etched or printed . Etched or printed scales and scale numbers should stand out brightly. 3.2.6 Scale mark size
The scale graduation value is 1mm. Scale line width is 0.25±0.05mm. If the tape scale adopts etching method, the etching depth is 0.01~0.03mm. The length of the scale mark is shown in Table 3.

The ruler frame is composed of a ruler drum, a handle and a rocker device that controls the rewinding (see Figure 3). The ruler frame should be sized to fully accommodate the entire tape without damaging it. The diameter of the ruler drum shall not be less than 29mm. The ruler drum shall be equipped with a suitable pin for tightening the ruler tape to ensure that the ruler drum can tighten the ruler tape. On the other hand, the tape that is tightly wrapped around the drum should be able to be led out smoothly without bending sharply. The direction of the tape measure when retracting is clockwise.
The ruler frame and ruler drum are made of stainless steel or anti-corrosion materials. The handle is made of wood or rust-resistant material, and the crank handle is made of brass. It should be ensured that the finished ruler frame, ruler drum, handle and crank handle will not produce sparks when impacted. 3.4 Depth-measuring dipstick thallium
Depth-measuring dipstick is divided into two types according to their quality. The lighter thallium ruler is used to measure light oil products with lower viscosity; the heavier thallium ruler is used to measure heavy oil products, crude oil, etc. The design of the thallium ruler is related to the design of the ruler tape. The lower end surface of the ruler is the zero point of the ruler tape, and the scales between them are complementary. Rulers without graduations are allowed. 3.4.1 Material
The ruler is made of brass or other materials with appropriate density and safety. 3.4.2 Structure
The ruler is cylindrical in the middle and has a truncated cone shape at both ends. The main axis of the ruler is perpendicular to its bottom plane, and there is a lifting lug on the top. A hole with a diameter of 7mm is drilled in the center of the lifting lug. The center line of the hole is perpendicular to the main axis of the ruler. Its function is to connect the rotating hook of the ruler belt. Therefore, the location of the holes should be made accurately. The edges of the hole are rounded to accommodate the curvature of the turning hook. There can be a plane with a width of not less than 13mm along the main axis of the ruler for etching scales (see Figures 4 and 5).

3.4.4 scale
Ruler with etched scale in centimeters and millimeters are etched with scales, and the corresponding positions of the centimeter scale should have scale numbers. The etched scale and scale numbers of ruler 1 should not be easily worn off. The scale starts from the bottom of the ruler and extends upward to the 140mm scale. The length of the scale line is shown in the table. Table 5 Scale line length

When there is sediment on the bottom of the oil tank or tank, use a depth sounding dipstick with a round plate to measure the oil layer height. It is more convenient. The round plate is made of copper and welded to the bottom of the ruler. The plane of the circular plate is perpendicular to the main axis of the ruler and flush with the bottom surface of the ruler (see Figure 6). The dimensions of the ruler and circular plate are shown in Table 6.

Figure 6 Depth dipstick thallium measurement when there is sediment After the empty dipstick thallium is connected to the tape, it is used to measure the height of the oil scale filled with oil or the oil-free part of the oil tank. It is mainly used for the measurement of heavy oil and crude oil. The design of the ruler thallium and the design of the ruler belt are related. The scales between them are complementary. When using, only the scaled part of the thallium ruler is allowed to be immersed in oil to read the corresponding data. 3.5.1 Material
The material of the thallium ruler is the same as 3.4.1.
3.5.2 Structure
The thallium ruler is in the shape of a square rod. Its four edges are cut smoothly and squarely (see Figure 2), and there is a lifting lug on the top of the ruler (same as 3.4.2). The right side of the thallium ruler has a width of 10 mm from top to bottom and has no scale. In this part, hard bakelite of no less than 2 mm thickness can be inserted and painted black (see Figure 7). The inserted part should be flush with the surface of the thallium ruler and fixed. The black plate inserted in this way can clearly display the immersion position without testing oil when measuring light-colored oil products.

3.6 Zero point
The zero point of the depth-finding dipstick is at the bottom plane of the thallium base. The zero point of the air dipstick is at the zero mark in the middle of the dipstick. 3.7 Calibration and indication tolerance
The calibration of the dipstick shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of JJG398, but the tensile force during calibration is 45N. The calibration can also be carried out according to the tensile force required by the user.
The zero position deviation from the zero point of the depth dipstick and air dipstick to the 500mm scale on the tape shall not exceed +0.5mm.
