Hygiene requirements for dairy mechanical homogenizers and plunger pumps Subject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the hygienic requirements for materials, design and manufacturing of dairy mechanical homogenizers and plunger pumps. This standard applies to dairy mechanical homogenizers and plunger pumps. 2 Reference standards

3 Terms
3.1 Dairy: milk and dairy products.
3.2 Surface
QB16731992
3.2.1 Dairy contact surface: all surfaces that are in direct contact with dairy products, as well as surfaces from which emulsions leak, drip or are adsorbed into dairy products. 3.2.2 Non-dairy contact surface: other exposed surfaces. 4 Materials
4.1 Materials for dairy contact surfaces
4.1.1 Metal materials for dairy contact surfaces should be corrosion-resistant stainless steel materials that are non-toxic and non-absorbent. 4.1.2 For some parts, other non-toxic and corrosion-resistant materials may also be used based on the actual functional characteristics of the parts, such as homogenizing valves and other valve parts, plungers, etc. 4.1.3 Gaskets and sealing rings are made of plastic, rubber and similar sealing materials, which must be non-toxic, harmless to the human body and meet the hygiene requirements of GB4807 and GB4808.
4.1.4 Materials for the main parts of dairy contact surfaces are recommended to be those listed in Appendix A (reference). 4.2 Materials for non-dairy contact surfaces
4.2.1 Materials for non-dairy contact surfaces should be corrosion-resistant or have been treated to have corrosion-resistant properties. If coating is used, the coating should adhere firmly.
4.2.2 Non-dairy The material of the product contact surface should generally be non-absorbent, durable and washable. 5 Design and manufacturing
5.1 The sanitary design of homogenizers and plunger pumps shall comply with the relevant provisions of Chapter 5 of GB12073. 5.1.1 Surface roughness
a. For all surfaces in contact with dairy products, the surface roughness R. value of metal products shall not be greater than 3.2μm, and the surface roughness R. value of plastic products and rubber products shall not be greater than 0.8μm; b. The surface in contact with dairy products shall generally not be electroplated or painted. For individual parts that need to be electroplated and sprayed based on their actual use functions, the plating and coating shall be approved by the Ministry of Light Industry of the People's Republic of China on January 15, 1993

QB1673—1992
c. There should be no pits, defects, cracks or silky streaks on the dairy contact surface; d. The non-dairy contact surface should be free of defects, pits and cracks, and easy to clean. If electroplated and painted, the plated surface and the painted surface must be firmly bonded to the base surface and not easy to fall off. The formed surface should be beautiful, durable and easy to clean. e. For parts that have both dairy contact surfaces and non-dairy contact surfaces and need to be disassembled for cleaning, paint should not be sprayed; f. The soft joints that come into contact with dairy products should have a straight surface and no wrinkles. 5.1.2 Connection requirements
a. All joints on the dairy contact surface should be smooth and easy to clean automatically after assembly. Permanent joints Welding should be performed without interruption, the weld should be smooth and without pits, and the R value after sandblasting or polishing should not be greater than 3.2μm. The welds on non-dairy contact surfaces should be smooth, continuous and without pits;
b. Rubber parts (such as sealing rings and sight glass rubber frames that need to be fixed) and plastic parts bonded to the dairy contact surface should be bonded continuously and ensure that they will not fall off under normal working conditions (cleaning, heating, and pressurization). The bonding material must meet the conditions of use to ensure that the bonded objects have sufficient strength and reliable bonding, and should be non-toxic, non-volatile, and non-soluble. 5.1.3 Grooves, corners, and fillet radii
a. Any internal angle on the dairy contact surface that is equal to or less than 135° should be processed into a fillet, and the fillet radius should generally not be less than 6.5 mm;
The width of the gasket positioning groove on the surface in contact with dairy products shall not be less than the depth, and the fillet radius of the groove shall generally not be less than 0.8mmb.
If the function requires that the fillet radius must be less than 0.8mm, such as flat sealing surfaces, valves, sockets, etc., the fillet radius should be easy to touch, easy to clean and inspect.
5.1.4 Bearings
Any bearing in contact with dairy products should be non-lubricated; if lubricated bearings must pass through the surface in contact with dairy products or may contaminate dairy products, sealing devices must be installed around the bearings to prevent b.
contamination.
5.1.5 For any spring in contact with dairy products, when it is in a free state, there should be a gap between the spring coils (including the ineffective coils), and it should be easy to clean and inspect.
5.2 There should be no leakage on the static sealing surfaces, and the lubricant of the mechanical transmission parts shall not flow into the dairy products, and the dairy products shall not enter the lubricant of the machine.
5.3 The dairy medium of the homogenizer and plunger pump and the pressure gauge sensing medium cannot leak into each other. 5.4 All dairy contact surfaces, whether in assembled or disassembled state, should be easy to observe and clean. Removable parts should be easy to disassemble. All channels should have outlets and generally there should be no blind holes. 5.5 Threads should generally not come into contact with dairy products.
5.6 A closed return line should be provided for dairy products discharged from the equipment safety channel. 5.7 There should be enough space between the cylinder body and the drive device for easy observation, cleaning and self-drainage; cleaning fluid, cooling water and emulsion cannot enter the drive device, and the space should be equipped with a transparent dust cover for easy observation and inspection at any time. 5.8 The surface of the support legs of the homogenizer and plunger pump should be smooth, the bottom of the legs made of pipe materials should be closed, and the gap between the bottom of the machine and the floor should not be less than 110 mm.
