3 Technical requirements
Internal combustion engine exhaust muffler measurement method
Batch inspection counting sampling procedure and sampling table (applicable to continuous batch inspection) Small gasoline engine exhaust muffler design parameters 3.1 The parts and components of the muffler shall comply with the provisions of this standard and be manufactured according to the product drawings and technical documents approved by the prescribed procedures. 3.2. When the design changes of the muffler involve its performance, installation and interchangeability, they must be approved by the relevant competent authorities. 3.3 The muffler can be made of composite steel plate or key aluminum steel plate to reduce the shell radiation noise and extend the service life. 3.4
The muffler can be designed and selected according to the requirements of JB/T5141. The insertion loss D and power loss ratio + of the muffler should comply with the provisions of Table 1: Table 1
Muffler category
Insertion loss D
Power loss ratio +
Applicable pressure range
Filter-type mechanical gasoline engine
General engine gasoline engine
Requirement for low noise sensitive gasoline engine
3.6 The muffler should be able to withstand vibration test. After the test, the components shall not have cracking, loosening, leakage, deformation and other phenomena. 3.7 The shell and partition should have sufficient rigidity to prevent regeneration noise caused by airflow. To ensure the muffler's muffler effect, the surface radiation noise of the exhaust system should be less than the exhaust noise. The wall thickness should be in accordance with the provisions of Table 2: Table 2
>15~20
3.8 The outer surface of the muffler should be smooth and flat, and the steel plate should be treated for corrosion resistance. Plate wall thickness
Shell pot
≥1.0 (or composite steel plate)
3.9 Under a pressure of 200kPa and for a duration of 1min, there should be no leakage at the welding and curling of the muffler shell and pipe. Except for special requirements, assembled unsealed mufflers are generally not allowed to be used. Approved by the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industry on June 26, 1991 and implemented on July 1, 1992
JB5137-91
3.10 Stamped steel parts shall meet the relevant technical requirements for stamped parts. 3.11: During the warranty period of the steam engine, the user shall comply with the maintenance conditions specified in the instruction manual. The capture loss value D of the muffler shall not be reduced by more than 3B(A), and the power loss ratio shall not be increased by more than 1.5%. At the same time, the muffler shall not be damaged, stagnant, or produce additional feeding sound.
3.12 According to the requirements of the ordering unit, the muffler may have carbon cleaning and fire extinguishing room installations, and may be equipped with anti-scalding covers. 4 Test methods
4.1 The muffler test is divided into:
a. Performance test:
b. Reliability test.
4.2 Performance test
All newly designed or structurally modified mufflers shall be subject to performance test. The following parameters shall be measured as the main indicators for evaluating the muffler: muffler performance: muffler congestion loss D: b. Power loss: muffler power loss ratio 1, performance test method shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB4759, 4.3 Reliability test
All newly designed or structurally modified mufflers shall be subject to this test, test items:
8. Durability test:
h, vibration test.
4.3.1 Durability test: The test muffler shall be subjected to durability test together with the matching gasoline engine, the test conditions and time shall be in accordance with the main engine test requirements, and regular maintenance shall be carried out in accordance with the gasoline engine use and maintenance requirements, and the requirements of Article 3.11 shall be met after the test. 4.32 Vibration test: The muffler shall be installed on the vibration table according to the actual installation position and method, and the vibration table shall produce vertical sinusoidal movement. The test should be carried out continuously, and three stops are allowed in the middle, each time not exceeding 30 minutes. Vibration parameters: alarm frequency a = 50Hz
Vibration acceleration a = 10g
Test time, t = 10h.
5 Inspection rules
5. This inspection is required for the acceptance of normal production products, and they are allowed to leave the factory after passing the acceptance. The number of spot checks and the inspection indicators shall be negotiated between the manufacturer and the ordering unit. The inspection contents include: inspection of the appearance and installation dimensions of the muffler, a.
Acoustic performance and resistance test: Install the muffler on the simulated sound source with cold airflow or no airflow, and conduct the muffler insertion loss resistance test b.
Muffler air tightness test: Conduct in accordance with Article 3.9.
d. Vibration test: Conduct in accordance with Article 4.3.2. 5.2 Product spot checks shall be conducted in accordance with GB2828. 6 Packaging and storage
6.1 The packaging box shall be reliable and accompanied by instructions, certificates of conformity, and packing lists. There shall be moisture-proof materials in the box, and the product shall be lined in the box to prevent damage and damage. The gross weight of each box shall not exceed 40kg. 6.2 Markings on the outer wall of the packaging box:
Name and address of the manufacturing unit
Model and name,
Quantity,
Volume (length × width × height), mm
Gross weight, k8;
"Handle with care", "Prevent" and other signs: Date of manufacture
