GB 15258-1999 Provisions for the preparation of chemical safety labels
Some standard content:
GB152581999
This standard is formulated to regulate the expression and writing of chemical safety labels. Safety labels are the basic measures for preventing and controlling chemical hazards required by the International Convention for the Safe Use of Chemicals in Workplaces No. 170. It is mainly to label the chemicals circulating in the market, put forward safety precautions, and convey safety information to workers, so as to prevent and reduce chemical hazards and achieve the goal of ensuring safety and health. Chemical safety labels have been implemented in Europe and the United States and other industrial countries for many years. At present, my country has promulgated the first edition of this standard in 1994. According to the actual application situation over the past three years, the previous edition is now revised. The main revisions are: changing the original standard name "Guidelines for the Preparation of Dangerous Chemical Labels" to "Regulations for the Preparation of Chemical Safety Labels"; canceling the provisions on signs in the original standard, aligning the hazard signs with the signs specified in the United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods and GB136901092 Classification and Labeling of Commonly Used Hazardous Chemicals, canceling the protective measures graphic symbol, and the two-person leakage disposal item: merging the storage and transportation and first aid items into the safety measures item. In addition, safety disposal information is added to the safety measures, and the reminder "ask for safety data sheets from the production and sales companies" is added. and production batch number.
This standard replaces GH/T15258-1994 from the month of implementation. The appendix A, appendix 3 and appendix C in this standard are all indicative appendices. This standard is proposed by the Economic and Trade Commission of the People's Republic of China and drafted by the Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute of the Ministry of Chemical Industry. The drafters of this standard are Zhang Haifeng, Peng Xiangwei, Li Daohua, Li Xuancai and Zhang Qibo. ?u

National Standard of the People's Republic of China
General ruleg For preparation of precautionary labelfor iodustrial chemicals
This standard specifies the content and writing requirements of precautionary label for iodustrial chemicals GB 15258 --1999
G3/T15258—1994
This standard applies to the preparation of safety labels for explosives, compressed gases and liquid gases, flammable liquids, flammable bodies, inflammable articles and articles that are flammable when wet, oxidants and organic peroxides, poisonous and corrosive substances, and other chemicals that are harmful to the human body and the environment. 2 Referenced standards
The texts contained in the following standards constitute the provisions of this standard through reference in this standard. When this standard is published, the versions shown are valid. All standards will be revised, and the parties using this standard should explore the possibility of using the latest versions of the following standards. GR136901992 Classification and marking of commonly used hazardous chemicals GB6911··1986 Classification and name numbering of dangerous goods 3 Definitions
This standard adopts the following definitions.
3.1 Toxic substances
Acute toxicity is: intraoral LD5 mg/kg: 24 h LDn40 mg/kg; Chemicals with LC%≤0.5mg/L in 1h.
3.2 Recommended products
Acute impact: 15mg/kg≤LDm≤: 50mg/kg, 40mg/kg in skin contact for 24hand the symbols specified in GB13690. Each chemical can use up to two signs. The signs and symbols are placed on the label. Note: The United Nations "Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods" can be obtained from the National Chemical Equipment Registration Center. 4.2.2 Warning words
According to the degree of danger and category of the chemical, use the words "danger", "warning" and "caution" to warn of the degree of hazard respectively. Specific regulations are shown in Table 1. When a chemical has two or more hazards, use the warning word with the greatest danger. The warning word is located below the name of the chemical and must be eye-catching and clear. Table 1 Correspondence between warning words and chemical hazard categories Warning word
Chemical hazard category
Naked explosives Flammable gas Toxic gas Low flash point gas Peroxide hydride Brushless poison Level 1 Aldehyde corrosive Non-flammable gas Medium flash point liquid
Level 1 Spontaneous combustion items Level 1 Flammable items when wet
Level 1 oxidizer
Level 3 Flammable solids Level 3 Flammable items
Level 1 Acidic corrosive products Level 1 Alkaline corrosive products
Level 1 Flammable items Level 2 oxidizers Toxic gas High flash point liquid Level 1 flammable solids Hazardous products Level 2 Alkaline corrosive products Other corrosive products 4.2.3 Hazard overview
Briefly summarize the combustion and explosion hazard characteristics, health hazards and environmental hazards of chemicals, and place them below the warning word. 4.2.4 Safety measures
Describe the matters that must be paid attention to in the handling, removal, storage and use of chemicals, as well as the simple and effective rescue measures in case of accidents, etc. The content should be concise and the key points should be highlighted.
4. 2. 5 Fire extinguishing
Chemicals are flammable or combustion-supporting substances. Effective fire extinguishing agents and prohibited fire extinguishing agents as well as fire extinguishing precautions should be indicated. 4.2.6 Batch number
Indicate the production date and production shift. The production month is indicated by ×××× year × month × month, and the shift is indicated by ×. 4.2.7 Prompt to contact the production and sales company for the safety technical manual 4.2.8 Name, address, zip code and telephone number of the production company 4.2.9 Emergency consultation telephone number
Fill in the emergency consultation telephone number of the chemical production company and the national chemical accident emergency consultation telephone number. 5.1 The text of the label should be concise, clear and easy to understand. It should be expressed in standardized Chinese characters. It can also use minority languages or foreign languages. However, the meaning must correspond to the Chinese characters. The font size should be smaller than Chinese characters. The same meaning should be expressed with the same Chinese characters and graphics. The text should be edited with reference to the phrases provided in Appendix A and Appendix B. When new information is found about a certain chemical, the label should be revised and changed in time. 5.2 Color The color of the mark in the label shall be implemented in accordance with GB13690. The text should use a color that has a clear contrast with the background color, generally black and white. 181
5.3
G15258—1999
The edge of the label should be marked clearly, and a blank of 3n1m should be left outside the edge. The printing of the label should be clear. The printing materials and adhesive materials used should be durable and waterproof. The safety label can be printed alone or combined with other labels. For examples, see Appendix C. 6 Use
6-1 Method of use
The label should be pasted, hung, or printed in a conspicuous position on the chemical packaging or container. In principle, for multi-layer packaging transportation, both the inner and outer packaging should be affixed (hung) with safety labels. However, if the outer packaging has been affixed with a safety label, and the inner packaging is the outer packaging, the inner packaging can be exempted from the safety label: the outer packaging is a clear object, and the safety label of the inner packaging can be clearly seen through the outer packaging, so the outer packaging can be exempted from the label. 6-2 Position
The position of the label is specified as follows:
Barrel and bottle packaging: better than barrel and bottle sideways! Box packaging: located at an obvious place on the end or side of the packaging; Bag, bundle packaging: located at an obvious place on the packaging; Container, grouped goods: located at the four sides below. 6.3 Precautions for use
6.3.1 The label should be firmly pasted, hung, and printed to ensure that it will not fall off or be damaged during transportation and storage. 6.3.2 The label should be pasted, hung, and printed by the manufacturer before the goods leave the factory. If the packaging needs to be changed, the label should be re-pasted and re-printed by the packaging unit.
6.3.3 The label of the container or package containing dangerous chemicals can only be torn off after it has been processed and confirmed that its danger has been completely eliminated. Otherwise, the corresponding label cannot be torn off.
