1 Scope
Separation machinery
Terms
This standard specifies the basic professional knowledge and design of filtration machinery and separators, and the general technical knowledge of their application. B/T4774-2004
This standard applies to the design and production of centrifuges, separators, filters, injection media, membrane separation equipment, and flowmeters in industrial production processes, and also applies to the research and development of filtration and separation machines. This standard does not include chamber centrifuges and chamber gas filters.

settling
is the phenomenon that the solid particles in the fluid are suspended in the liquid due to the action of gravity, centrifugal force or electrostatic force. The solid particles move slowly in the direction of the force field and cannot move quickly. At this time, the solid particles and the mixture with the sedimentation medium are called slurry: the diameter of the solid particles in the slurry is about 1cm--1ocm. larger than the colloid. 2.6 Suspension density is the mass concentration of solids in a suspension, or the solid volume fraction of a suspension in a single volume. 2.7 Emulsion is an emulsion formed by the fine dispersion of a liquid in another (or more) liquids which do not mix with it. 2.Emulsion density is the mass percentage of the solids contained in the emulsion. 2.9
