GB/T 4240-93 5.1.2 The allowable deviation of the chemical composition of the steel wire shall comply with the provisions of GB 222. 5.2 Delivery status The steel wire shall be delivered in the delivery status specified in Table 1. Soft state (R): The steel wire is brightly heat treated or pickled and similarly treated after heat treatment. Light drawing (Q): The wire is drawn with a small degree of deformation after heat treatment. Cold drawing (L): After heat treatment, the steel wire is subjected to conventional drawing. 5.3 Mechanical properties 5.3.1 The mechanical properties of the steel wire shall comply with the provisions of Table 3. 5.3.2 The mechanical properties of the lightly drawn steel wire shall comply with the provisions of Table 4. 5.3.3 The mechanical properties of the cold drawn steel wire shall comply with the provisions of Table 5. Individual pitting, scars and scratches with a depth not exceeding half of the diameter tolerance are allowed. Spiral lines and lubricant residues are allowed on the surface of straight steel wire. Ammoniation film is allowed on the surface of martensitic steel wire delivered in a state of delivery. 5.5 Special requirements 5.5.1 According to the requirements of the purchaser, steel wire with mechanical properties within a specific range can be provided. 5.5.2 According to the requirements of the purchaser, austenitic steel wire can be subjected to intergranular corrosion test. The test method shall be agreed upon by the supply and demand parties and stated in the contract. 6 Test method The test method of steel wire shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of Table 6. Austenitic and ferritic type steel wires are packaged as Class Ic, and martensitic type steel wires are packaged as Class Ic.
