This standard is applicable to indicate the position of lifebuoys at sea to ship drowning personnel and rescuers during the day and at night. It meets the provisions of the 1983 Amendment to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974, adopted by the International Maritime Organization. 2 Reference standards
GB3107.1 General technical conditions for ship pyrotechnic signals 3 Product classification
Type and size
Selt-igniting light and orange smoke signal for lifebuoys are pull-ignition ignition smoke and light floating combination signals. Its main components include orange signal charge column;
igniter;
ignition charge:
shell and float;
lamp,
water activated battery or dry battery;
connector;
safety cover
bracket and tether.
Signal charge should be composed of organic pigment, oxidant, combustible agent, etc. The outer diameter of the self-igniting floating light and orange smoke combination signal for lifebuoy should not exceed 220mm, the total length should not exceed 485mm, and the total mass should not exceed 4000g.
3.2 Marking example
The continuous time of smoke emission shall not be less than 15 minutes, the luminous intensity of the self-illuminating floating light shall not be less than 2cd, and the luminous time shall not be less than 2h. 4 Technical requirements
4.1 The manufacture of this product shall comply with the technical requirements of Chapter 4 of CB3107.1. 4.2 This product shall be able to repeat 10 cycles at an ambient temperature of -30 to +65℃ and shall function effectively. 4.3 This product should be able to withstand low temperature -30℃ and high temperature +65℃, and can work effectively at this temperature. 4.4 This product should be effectively worked after being immersed in 1m deep water horizontally for 24h and then triggered and released. 4.5 After being released, this product should not be damaged and can float on the water surface and work effectively, and should not be extinguished or submerged by waves.
4.6 This product should not burn heptane after being triggered on the water surface covered with a 2mm thick heptane layer. 4.7 This product should be able to withstand the salt spray test of 20% NaCI solution. 4.8 This product can emit a uniform smoke signal, and the smoke emission time is 15min. The luminous intensity of the self-igniting floating light shall always be no less than 2cd for a continuous time of 2h.
4.9 When the light is triggered and released, there shall not be any flame spray or explosion that may injure the operator or nearby personnel. 4.10 The ignition device of this product shall be equipped with a double ignition device. 4.11 The shell and bracket of this product shall be rust-proof and corrosion-resistant, and have a certain rigidity. 4.12 The eye ring of the tether shall be able to withstand a tensile force of 225N, and the length of the tether shall not be less than 1.2m. 4.13 The bulb shall be made of colorless transparent glass and shall not have defects that impair performance. 4.14 The lampshade shall be made of colorless transparent material. The flashing floating light shall not be in the form of focusing, and shall not have bubbles or defects that reduce the luminous flux.
4.15 The battery can be a water-activated battery or a dry battery, with a continuous luminous time of no less than 2h, a luminous intensity of no less than 2cd, and a validity period of no less than 17 months.
5 Test methods
The test methods for this product shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 5 of GB3107.1. 6 Inspection rules
6.1 The inspection rules for this product shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 6 of GB3107.1. 6.2 When the initial production of this product does not obtain the approval certificate, each batch of 200 pieces shall be considered as a batch. After obtaining the product approval certificate, each batch of 400 pieces shall be considered as a batch. 6.3 The factory inspection items, technical requirements and sampling quantity of this product shall be as specified in the following table. 6.3.2 If any item of performance of this product is unqualified, it shall be re-tested with double the weight; if there is still one item unqualified after the re-inspection, the whole batch shall be scrapped. 7 Marking, Packaging, Transportation and Storage
The marking, packaging, transportation and storage of this product shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 7 of GB3107.1. 538
