GB/T 4873-1985 Dimensions and feed holes for continuous format paper for information processing
Basic Information
Standard ID:
GB/T 4873-1985
Standard Name: Dimensions and feed holes for continuous format paper for information processing
This standard specifies the dimensions of continuous format paper and the diameter and position of its feed holes. This paper is continuous in length and is suitable for automatic data processing (ADP) equipment as a printed output paper for administrative, commercial and technical documents. The total width dimensions of the paper given in the standard do not apply to machines where the paper feed drive is not adjustable. This standard is based on the adoption of the international standard ISO 2784-74 "Continuous format paper for information processing - Dimensions and chain feed holes". In high-speed printing presses for automatic data processing equipment and other types of office machines, the most commonly used line spacing is 4.233mm, the character spacing is 2.54mm, and the feed hole spacing is 12.7mm. These values are the basis for the formulation of this standard. 1 Introduction National Standard of the People's Republic of China Continuous forms used for information processing-sizes and feed holes Continuous fornms used for information processing-sizes and feed holes UDC 681.327.54 GB4873-85 1.1 This standard specifies the dimensions of continuous forms and the diameter and position of their feed holes. This paper is a continuous length and is suitable for use in automatic data processing (ADP) equipment as a printed output paper for administrative, commercial and technical documents. The standard gives the total width of the paper but does not apply to machines where the feed drive is not adjustable. 1.2 This standard is based on the adoption of the international standard ISO 2784-74 "Continuous forms used for information processing-sizes and feed holes". 1.3 In high-speed printing presses of automatic data processing equipment and other types of office machines, the most commonly used line spacing is 4.233mm, the character spacing is 2.54mm, and the feed hole spacing is 12.7mm. These values are the basis for the formulation of this standard. 2 Definition of terms 2.1 Continuous form paper Continuous form paper is a continuous length of printing paper with feed holes and transverse fold lines. 2.2 Feed holes The holes with a certain interval on both sides of the non-printing part of the paper for feeding continuous form paper are called feed holes. 2.3 Transverse fold line The embossed line perpendicular to the feeding direction of continuous form paper is called the transverse fold line. 2.4 Longitudinal fold line The embossed line parallel to the feeding direction of continuous form paper is called the longitudinal fold line. 2.5 Total width dimension The distance from edge to edge of continuous form paper is called the total width dimension. 2.6 Longitudinal dimension The distance between adjacent transverse fold lines of continuous format paper is called the longitudinal dimension. 2.7 Centerline On the side of continuous format paper, the line connecting the centers of any two conveying holes 254mm apart is called the "centerline". 3 Overall width dimension The overall width dimensions of continuous format paper are shown in Table 1. Overall width dimension Allowable deviation Note: For the overall width design for special purposes and the occasions where the requirements for full shrinkage are met, it is not subject to the restrictions of Table 1. Issued by the National Bureau of Standards on January 17, 1957 Implemented on July 1, 1985 4 Longitudinal dimension The longitudinal dimensions of continuous format paper are shown in Table 2. Longitudinal deviation R GB 4873-85 Note: For the longitudinal dimension of the different paths and the occasions where the permissible length is not strictly required, it is not subject to the deviation of Table 2. 5 Feed hole 5.1--General requirements For feeding continuous format paper, there are two non-printing parts! The feed hole with light is generally shaped, and the edge of the hole can also be finely serrated. 5.2 Position of feed hole The "center line" of the feed hole should be centered on the lower paper edge, and the distance between the "center line" and the closer paper edge is: A=6.0±0.7mm. 5.3 Diameter of feed hole 5.3.1 The diameter of the feed hole is: D=4.0±0.1mm. 5.3.2 For the conveying of the fine tooth edge of the card, its minimum diameter is 1D value: its maximum diameter shall not exceed 4.5mm. 5.3.3 When using the duplex with conveying holes, the diameter of the conveying hole of the duplex paper 1 is 4.1mm5.4 Conveying center distance The distance between the center of the adjacent conveying holes on the same side is: 3 =12.70 10.05mm. 5.5 Cumulative error of the center distance of conveying holes The cumulative error of the center of two conveying holes with a width of 254mm along the "center line" shall not exceed 10.3mm. 5.6 Allowable deviation of conveying hole from "center line" The maximum allowable deviation of conveying hole from its "center line" is: (max = 0.1mm. 5.7 The maximum allowable deviation between the center of any conveying hole and the perpendicular line of the center line of the conveying hole on the right side of the test is: eax = 0.15mm. 5.8 Degree of "center line" The "center line" on the left side should be the "center line" on the left side, and its deviation should be within 0.15mm.
