This standard is a revision of GB8464-87 "General Technical Conditions for Internally Threaded Gate Valves, Stop Valves, Ball Valves, and Check Valves" and GB8465.1~8465.8-87 "Basic Dimensions of Internally Threaded Gate Valves, Stop Valves, Ball Valves, and Check Valves". This standard has some changes from GB8464 and GB8465.1~8465.8 in the following major technical contents: 1. This standard adds the basic dimensions of some valve types of copper internally threaded valves; 2. This standard adds the technical contents of iron and copper internally threaded valves; 3. This standard re-compiles the inspection rules for internally threaded valves. This standard replaces GB8464-87 and GB8465.1~8465.8-87 from the date of implementation. This standard is proposed by the Ministry of Machinery Industry of the People's Republic of China. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Valve Standardization. 5.1 Shell and sealing performance
After the pressure test of iron and copper valves, the results shall comply with the relevant requirements of the shell and sealing test regulations in GB/T13927. 5.3.1 The thread size and accuracy of the two ends of the internal thread connection valve shall comply with the provisions of GB7307 and GB7306. >150~200

5.4.1 The sealing surface of the internal threaded valve should not have cracks, pores and other defects.
