Determination method of permanent deformation of vulcanized rubber (modulus tester method)
1 Applicable range
HG4-859-81
Substitute HG 4-859-76
Group 49
Adjusted to: μGh33 8/
This standard applies to the determination method of permanent deformation of vulcanized rubber. That is, the sample is pulled to a certain length by a modulus tester, and a certain time passes in this state, and then the external force is removed, and the length of the part that cannot be restored is measured. 2 Specimens
2.1 The width of the specimen is 10±0.2mm, the length is 80~~90mm, and the thickness is 2±0.3mm. However, the fluctuation range of the thickness of the working part of the same specimen shall not be greater than 0.1mm. Type A specimens that meet the requirements of GB528-76 can also be used. 2.2 Before the test, the sample is marked with a mark with a distance of 50 ± 0.5 mm. Note: If the finished sample cannot be prepared according to the above regulations, it should be noted in the test report. 3 Test instrument
3.1 The structure of the test instrument is shown in the figure.
1-sample 2-upper beam, 3-lower beam, 4-fixed clamp, 5-lower clamp, 6-screw 7-nut 8 scale
3.2 The test instrument is a square frame. The fixed holder 4 is installed on the upper beam 2, and the lower clamp 5 is connected to the screw 6. The nut on the screw is used to fix the position of the sample length. 4 Test steps
4.1 Place the sample 1 on the upper and lower clamps 4 and 5 of the test instrument. 4.2 Pull the sample upward to make the distance between the marking lines reach 125±2.5%, 150±5%, 200±10%, 300±10%, and 400±10% of the original marking length. Measure the specimen marking length accurately to 0.5mm. Note: The elongation should be determined according to the properties of the rubber. 4.3 Fix the lower clamp to keep the specimen at the specified elongation. 4.4 Keep the specimen in the stretched state for 15 minutes, 24 hours, and 72 hours. 4.5 Remove the sample from the holder F and lay it flat on the test bench. The sample stretched for 15 minutes is allowed to recover for 5 minutes, and the sample stretched for 24 hours and 72 hours is allowed to recover for 30 minutes. Measure the sample gauge length to the nearest 0.1 mm. 5 Test results
5.1 The permanent deformation (%) expressed as a percentage of the original gauge length is calculated as follows: 0-- /_/-×100
Wu, L
-original gauge length of the sample, mm;
L1 gauge length of the sample after standing for 30 minutes, mm. 5.2 The permanent deformation (%) expressed as a percentage of the length is calculated as follows: L.-L.
2-Lo
Where: L. Original gauge length of the specimen, mm;
L1--Gauge length of the specimen after 5 minutes and 30 minutes of rest, mmL2--Gauge length of the specimen in tension, m1.100
5.3 The number of specimens representing the same performance shall not be less than three, and the arithmetic mean shall be taken. 6 Test report
The test report shall include the following contents:
a. Average permanent deformation;
b. Specimen specifications;
c. Specimen elongation and tension time;
d. Test temperature.
