This standard specifies the general requirements, definitions and periodic calibration requirements for electrical performance tests of wires and cables. This standard applies to electrical performance tests of various power cables and wires and cables for electrical equipment. According to the relevant wire and cable standards, the various test methods specified in GB/T 3048.2~3048.16 are also applicable to similar performance tests of other wires and cables and materials. All test conditions not specified in the test method should be specified in the product standard. Electrical performance test methods, except for those clearly specified for parts, are first used as type tests. Unless otherwise specified in the product standard, sampling tests and routine tests should also be used. 1 Subject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the general requirements and definitions for the electrical properties test of electric cables and wires and the periodic calibration requirements for the test equipment. This standard applies to the electrical properties test of various power cables and wires and cables for electrical equipment. According to the relevant wire and cable standards, the various test methods specified in GB/T3048.2~3018.16 are also applicable to similar performance tests of other wires and cables and materials.
Any test conditions not specified in the test method shall be specified in the product standard. The electrical properties test method, except for those clearly specified for components, is first used as a type test. Unless otherwise specified in the product standard, sampling test and routine test should also be adopted.

3 Achieve the purpose of regulations

4 General provisions of the test
4. Unless otherwise specified in the relevant standards, the test shall be carried out at ambient temperature (room temperature). 4.2 Unless otherwise specified in the product standard, during the type test, the sample shall be subjected to environmental conditioning for at least 16 hours, and the environmental conditions shall be in accordance with the relevant standards.
5 Definitions
5.1 Environmental conditioning of the sample
At a specified temperature and for a specified time, place the sample in an environment with a specified relative humidity or immerse it in water or other specified liquids. 5.2 Standard reference environment
The value measured under any environmental condition can be corrected to the value under a specific environmental condition by calculation. This specific environmental condition is called the standard reference environment.
5.3 Type test (code T)
Type test is a test conducted before manufacturing a certain type of cable specified in the cable standard: the characteristic of type test is that it is generally not repeated after being done once. However, when the materials, structures and main processes used in wires and cables have changed and affect the performance of wires and cables, the test must be repeated; or when there are other regulations in the product standards, such as periodic tests, the test should also be repeated as required.
5.4 Sampling test (code S)
Sampling test is a test in which the manufacturer extracts complete wires and cables from the manufacturing batch and cuts samples or components from them. 5.5 Routine test (code R)
Routine test is a test conducted by the manufacturer on all finished wires and cables. 6 Calibration of test equipment
