Some standard content:
GB 18306—2001 All technical contents of this standard are mandatory. This standard is formulated in accordance with the relevant provisions of Articles 17 and 18 of Chapter 3 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Earthquake Disaster Prevention and Mitigation and the requirements for the compilation of seismic parameter zoning maps for engineering construction. This standard absorbs the large amount of basic data on seismic zoning newly added in my country in the past 10 years and the latest results of comprehensive research, and adopts the most advanced mapping method in the world. The purpose of formulating this standard is to provide seismic fortification requirements for the reduction and prevention of earthquake disasters and better serve the national economic construction. China's seismic parameter zoning maps include: a) China's seismic peak acceleration zoning map; b) China's seismic response spectrum characteristic period zoning map; c) Seismic response spectrum characteristic period adjustment table. Appendix A, Appendix B and Appendix C of this standard are all standard appendices. Appendix D of this standard is a prompt appendix. This standard is proposed and managed by the China Earthquake Administration. This standard was drafted by: Institute of Geophysics, China Earthquake Administration, Institute of Engineering Mechanics, China Earthquake Administration, Institute of Geology, China Earthquake Administration, Institute of Crustal Stress, China Earthquake Administration, Analysis and Forecast Center, China Earthquake Administration. The main drafters of this standard are: Hu Yuxian, Gao Mengtan, Xu Zonghe, Bo Jingshan, Zhang Peizhen, Chen Guoxing, Xie Furen, Li Dahua, Feng Yigou, Xu Yanping. 1 Scope National Standard of the People's Republic of China Seismic ground motion parameter zonation map of China Seismic ground motion parameter zonation map of China This standard gives the seismic ground motion parameter zonation map of China and its technical elements and usage regulations. GB18306-—2001 This standard is applicable to the seismic fortification of new, rebuilt and expanded general construction projects, as well as the preparation of social and economic development and land use planning. 2 Definitions This standard adopts the following definitions. 2.1 Seismic ground motion parameter zonation The country is divided into areas with different seismic fortification requirements based on the seismic peak acceleration and the characteristic period of the seismic response spectrum. 2.2 Seismic peak ground acceleration The horizontal acceleration corresponding to the maximum value of the seismic response spectrum. 2.3 Characteristic period of the seismic response spectrum The period at which the seismic acceleration response spectrum begins to decrease. 2.4 Probability of exceedance The probability that a site may encounter a seismic parameter value greater than or equal to a given value. 2. 5 Requirements for seismic resistance; requirement for fortification against earth-quake The criteria for construction projects to resist earthquake damage and the earthquake intensity or seismic parameters used in seismic design at a certain risk level. 3 Technical elements 3.1 The scale of "China's Earthquake Peak Acceleration Zoning Map" and "China's Earthquake Response Spectrum Characteristic Period Zoning Map" is 1:4 million. 3.2 The defense level of "China's Earthquake Peak Acceleration Zoning Map" and "China's Earthquake Response Spectrum Characteristic Period Zoning Map" is a 50-year exceedance probability of 10%. 3.3 The site conditions of "China's Earthquake Peak Acceleration Zoning Map" and "China's Earthquake Response Spectrum Characteristic Period Zoning Map" are flat and stable general (medium hard) sites. 3.4 "Earthquake Response Spectrum Characteristic Period Adjustment Table" adopts four types of site division. 4 Use regulations 4.1 The seismic design of new, expanded and rebuilt general construction projects and the seismic appraisal and reinforcement of existing general construction projects must be carried out in accordance with the seismic defense requirements specified in this standard. 4.2 The scale of Appendix A and Appendix B of this standard is 1:4 million and should not be enlarged for use. 4.3 The seismic fortification requirements of the following projects or areas should not be directly adopted from this standard, and special research is required: a) major projects with seismic fortification requirements higher than those of the local seismic parameter zoning map, projects that may cause serious secondary disasters, nuclear power plants and other nuclear facility construction projects with special requirements; GB18306—2001 approved by the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine on February 2, 2001 and implemented on August 1, 2001 b) new, expanded and rebuilt construction projects located near the boundary of seismic parameter zoning; c) remote areas with poor research degree and detailed data; d) large cities, large factories and mines, long-distance lifeline projects and newly built development zones located in areas with complex engineering geological conditions. 3.wwW.bzxz.Net Characteristic period zoning GB 18306--2001 Appendix A (Appendix of the standard) Zoning map of earthquake peak acceleration in China (see Figure A1)Appendix B (Appendix of the standard) Zoning map of earthquake response spectrum characteristic period in China (see Figure B1)Appendix C (Appendix of the standard) Adjustment table of characteristic period of earthquake response spectrum in China (see Table C1)Table C1 Classification of characteristic period adjustment table of earthquake response spectrum in China Site type Appendix D (Suggestive appendix) Explanation on the transition from basic earthquake intensity to earthquake parametersSoft This standard directly adopts earthquake parameters (earth motion peak acceleration and characteristic period of earthquake response spectrum) and no longer adopts basic earthquake intensity. The current relevant technical standards involving the concept of basic earthquake intensity should be gradually revised. Before the technical standards are revised (including partial revision), they can be determined by referring to the following methods: a) The earthquake parameters provided by this standard are directly used for earthquake prevention and disaster reduction calculations; b) When foundation treatment, structural measures or other earthquake prevention and disaster reduction measures are involved, the basic earthquake intensity value can be obtained from this standard by looking up the peak acceleration of the earthquake motion and determined according to Table D1, or it can be divided more finely as needed.
