National Standard of the People's Republic of China Dimensions and characteristics of magnetic tape reel for information interchange This standard applies to reels of magnetic tape for information interchange with a width of 12.7 mn (hereinafter referred to as tape reels): 1 Definition of terms 1.1 Front and back sides of tape reels UDC 681.327.64 GB 3290—B2 When the tape reel is installed on the drive device of the tape machine and the machine works normally, the side that can be seen from the outside is the front side, and the side close to the machine panel is the back side. 1.2 Write-permit ringbzxz.net The write-permit ring (abbreviated as write-permit ring) is a ring placed on the back side of the tape reel. After being placed, it puts the circuit in a state where it allows information to be written to the tape. 1.3 Reference surface of the tape reel The reference surface of the tape reel is the annular surface between the cylindrical surface of the center hole of the reel hub (dimension A in Figure 1) and the inner side surface of the groove for the filling ring (dimension D in Figure 1). 2 Structure, dimensions, materials and performance 2.1 The structure of the tape reel is such that any section through the axis of the tape reel is consistent with the section view in Figure 1 except for the section through the tip of the groove. The section through the tip of the groove is consistent with the section view in Figure 2. 2.2 If the designed tape reel does not cause the filling ring to protrude from its reference surface, the tongue portion of the groove can be omitted. 2.3 All dimensions and tolerances of Figure 11 are shown in Table 1. Issued by the National Bureau of Standards on November 16, 1982, and implemented on August 1, 1983. 2. GB 3290—82. Magnifying the national magnetic tape. GB3290—82. As long as the provisions of this standard are met, the manufacturer can divide them into several parts at will. The outer surface of the disc is allowed to be designed with raised decorations, ribs or other things, but the size must not exceed the section line area of Figure 1. 2.6 2.7 The magnetic tape reel used for information exchange should not have holes on the disc. 2.B As long as the dimensions and moment of inertia meet the provisions of this standard, the magnetic tape reel can be made of any one or more suitable materials. 2.8 The two discs of the magnetic tape reel are asymmetrical. The main difference is whether there is a groove on the disc to allow write damage. For the machine to work properly, the back of the tape reel should face the installation surface of the machine. 2.10 The coaxiality of the outer cylindrical surface and the inner cylindrical surface of the reel (dimensions C and A in Figure 1) should be within 0.254mm. 2.11 Wrap the tape around the tape with a constant tension of 367g.f (3.6N) 2.12 The total unbalance of a fully wound tape reel rotating about its axis shall not exceed 1.5%·m. 2.13 The moment of inertia of the tape reel shall not exceed the value shown in Table 2. Table 2 Moment of inertia of tape reels Dimensions of tape reels 2.14 Magnetic tape markings Moment of inertia of a fully wound reel 2.14.1 Owner's mark On the tape reel The front disc shall be provided with a label area for the owner's logo. 2.14.2 Marking of the tape reel manufacturer The tape reel manufacturer's logo may be on the tape reel. 2.14.3 Content marking Moment of inertia of empty reel The front disc of the tape reel shall be provided with a label area indicating the content of the tape on the reel. If adhesive labels are used, no residue should be left after removal. Pencil or other easily erasable writing is not allowed. 2.14.4 Marking of the tape reel manufacturer The tape reel manufacturer's logo may be on the tape reel. 2.15 Write-on ring 2.15.1 After the write-on ring of the tape reel is installed in the groove, its annular surface cannot be higher than the reference surface of the tape reel. 2.15.2 The write-on ring shall have a tongue to facilitate its removal from the groove of the tape reel. 2.15.3 The size and material of the write-enable ring should enable it to be inserted into and removed from the tape reel with appropriate force under normal conditions of use, and its structure should not hinder normal tape travel. 2.15.4 The dimensions of the allowable ring are shown in Figure 2 and Table 3. 12.7gma3 GB 3290—82 Flat diameter Allowable bending ring 65.00 *0.2 5.85 1 n.25 1.0 mx 97.70±0.50 GB 3290—82 Table 3 Size of filling ring Note: (I) The material of the allowable ring shall be polynitrogen sieve or other similar materials. @Material surface R*0.B× 45°.
