National Standard of the People's Republic of China Aluminium and aluminium alloys Compression test method for tubesUDC669.71 426 GB 3251 ---82 This standard is applicable to the test of the deformation performance of aluminium and aluminium alloy tubes compressed to the specified size along their longitudinal axis at room temperature and to reveal their defects. 1 Test specimen 1.1 The test specimen is cut from any part of the tube that has passed the appearance inspection, and its height is equal to twice the outer diameter of the tube. 1.2 Both ends of the test specimen shall be smooth and free of burrs and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the tube. 1.3 The test specimen shall be marked with alloy grade, specification, batch number and test specimen number. 2 Test equipment The test shall be carried out on a press or a hydraulic universal testing machine. 3 Test and result evaluation 3.1 Place the sample upright between two parallel pressure plates so that the axis of the sample is basically coincident with the center line of the load of the testing machine. 3.2 Compress the sample to half of its original height at a uniform speed, that is, the compression distance is equal to the outer diameter D of the pipe (see figure). If otherwise specified in the relevant standards, this limitation shall not apply. If there are no cracks or cracks, it is considered qualified. 3.4. If the sample is directly printed and used as a mark, the above defects are generated at the printing area, the test is invalid. The sample should be taken again and the test should be repeated. Additional remarks: This standard is proposed by the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry of the People's Republic of China. This standard was drafted by the Northeast Light Alloy Processing Plant. The main drafter of this standard is Chen Guangxian. From the date of implementation of this standard, the former Ministry of Metallurgical Industry Standard YB650-67 "Compression Test Method for Deformed Aluminum and Aluminum Alloy Tubes" will be invalid. 146 Tip: This standard content only shows part of the intercepted content of the complete standard.
