This standard specifies 70 general graphic symbols for welding equipment. These symbols are identical to the relevant symbols in the I507000:1989 New Graphic Special Numbers and List, and are used to indicate the characteristics, operating instructions, functional status, etc. of welding equipment. This standard is one of the series of standards for mushroom-shaped symbols for equipment. This standard specifies the common graphic symbols for representing the characteristics, operating instructions and functional status of various electric welding equipment. This standard applies to the operating controllers, indicators, connection sockets and nameplates of electric welding equipment. 2 References

General symbols for welding equipment are shown in Table 1.
5 Application
5.1 The application of graphic symbols shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 7 of GB/T 16902.1--1997. 5.2 The graphic symbols in Table 1 shall be enlarged or reduced in proportion. 5.3 The superscripts around the graphic symbols in Table 1 do not constitute the content of the graphic symbols, but are only the basis for symbol reproduction and application. 5.4 The general symbols for welding equipment shall be used in conjunction with GB/16273.1, and the graphic symbols for electrical equipment shall be used in conjunction with GB/T5465.2.
