General requirements
AQ3047-2013
3.1 Sign elements
Safety warning signs for chemical workplaces are in the form of a combination of text and graphic symbols to indicate the hazards and safety precautions of chemicals in the workplace. Sign elements include chemical identification, physical and chemical properties, hazard pictograms, warning words, hazard statements, precautionary statements, protective equipment instructions, information reference prompts, and alarm telephone numbers. 3.2 Sign content
3.2.1 Chemical identification
Safety warning signs in chemical workplaces should list the Chinese chemical name or common name of the chemical, as well as the U.S. Chemical Abstracts Register number (CAS number). Chemical identification must be eye-catching and clear, and located above the sign. The name should be consistent with the name in the chemical safety data sheet. 3.2.2 Physical and chemical properties
According to the hazardous properties of hazardous chemicals, the corresponding physical and chemical data are listed, including flash point, explosion limit, density, volatility, etc. 3.2.3 Hazard pictograms
The hazard pictograms specified in GB20576~GB20599 and GB20601~GB20602 are used. Table 1 lists the hazard categories corresponding to the 9 hazard pictograms.

Hazard to the aquatic environment, acute category 1,
Chronic category 1, 2
According to the degree of hazard and category of chemicals, use the words "danger" and "warning" to warn of the degree of hazard respectively. According to GB20576~GB20599, GB20601~GB20602, select the warning words of different categories of hazardous chemicals. The warning words are located below the name of the chemical and must be eye-catching and clear.
3.2.5 Hazard Statements
Briefly summarize the hazardous properties of chemicals. According to GB20576~GB20599, GB20601~GB20602, select the hazard statements of different categories of hazardous chemicals, which should be eye-catching and clear. 3.2.6 Precautionary Statements
Describe the matters that should be paid attention to in the handling, transportation, storage and use of chemicals, as well as simple and effective rescue measures in case of accidents, etc. The content should be concise and the key points should be highlighted. This part should include safety precautions, handling of accidents (such as leakage, human contact or fire, etc.), safe storage measures and waste disposal. Precautionary statements should be stated in accordance with the provisions of GB15258. 3.2.7 Protective Equipment Statements
Personal protective equipment is represented by protective pictograms. According to the hazardous properties of chemicals in the workplace, protective pictograms are used alone or in combination. Protective pictograms are selected according to the provisions of GB2894 indicator signs. 3.2.8 Alarm Phone
Fill in the alarm phone number after a hazardous chemical accident occurs. 3.2.9 Reference to information
Reminder to refer to the chemical safety data sheet3.2.10 Order of hazard information
When a chemical has two or more hazards, the order of pictograms, signal words, and hazard statements on workplace safety warning signs shall be implemented in accordance with the provisions of GB15258. 3
AQ3047-2013
3.3 Examples
For examples of safety warning signs for chemical workplaces, please refer to Appendix A. 4 Production
4.1 Writing
Safety warning signs for chemical workplaces should be consistent with the information in the chemical safety data sheet, and information should be continuously supplemented. If new hazards are found, they should be updated in a timely manner. 4.2 Color
The color of the hazard pictogram shall be implemented in accordance with the provisions of GB20576~GB20599 and GB20601~GB20602. Generally, black symbols with white backgrounds are used, and the square borders are red. The whole warning word should be in yellow with a black contrasting background. The main text should be in a color that has a clear contrast with the background color, usually in black and white.
4.3 Font
Chemical labels, warning words, hazard statements and titles should be in bold, and other content should be in Songti. The font should be eye-catching and clear. 4.4 Sign size
Under normal circumstances, the size of the horizontal version of the sign should not be less than 80cmx60cm, and the size of the vertical version of the sign should not be less than 60cm×90cm4.5 Printing
4.5.1 The production of safety warning signs for chemical workplaces should be clear and eye-catching, and a yellow and black striped border should be added to the edge, with a width of greater than or equal to 3mm.
4.5.2 It should be made of sturdy, durable, rust-proof and non-combustible materials. Insulating materials should be used in workplaces with electric shock hazards, and anti-static materials should be used in places with flammable and explosive substances.
5 Application
Location of installation
At the entrance and exit of the workplace, the outer wall or the reaction container, pipeline and other conspicuous locations 5.2 Installation method
There are three types of installation methods for safety warning signs in chemical workplaces: attached, hanging and column. The hanging and attached types should be stable and not tilted, and the column type should be firmly connected to the bracket. 5.3 Installation height
The installation height should be consistent with the height of human eyes as much as possible. The height of the lower edge of the hanging and column types from the ground should not be less than 1.5m. 5.4 Precautions
5.4.1 Safety warning signs in chemical workplaces should be placed in conspicuous places related to safety, and people entering the workplace should have enough time to pay attention to the content after seeing it. 5.4.2 Safety warning signs in chemical workplaces should not be placed on movable objects such as doors, windows, shelves, etc. Obstacles that hinder reading should not be placed in front of the signs.
AQ3047-2013
3The angle between the plane of the sign and the line of sight should be close to 90°. When the observer is at the maximum observation distance, the minimum angle should not be less than 75°5.4.3
