3.1 Basic requirements
3.1.1 Paper machine calenders shall comply with the provisions of this standard and be manufactured in accordance with the drawings and relevant technical documents approved in the prescribed procedures. 3.1.2 The manufacture of paper machine calenders shall comply with the relevant provisions of QB/T842. 3.1.3 The installation and acceptance of paper machine calenders shall comply with the relevant provisions of QBJ1. 3.2 Performance requirements
3.2.1 Paper and paperboard shall meet the requirements of the specified paper type smoothness and tightness after being processed by the calender. 3.2.2 The working speed and working line pressure of the calender can meet the production requirements of paper and paperboard machines. 3.3 Quality of main parts
3.3.1 Calender roller
3.3.1.1 The production process and chemical composition of the calender roller are determined by the supplier. If the purchaser has special requirements for the material of the calender roller, it can be determined by negotiation between the supply and demand parties.
3.3.1.2 The thickness of the cold hard layer on the surface of the calender roller after mechanical processing shall comply with the provisions of the following table. mm
Roller outer diameter
201~300
301~~400
Nominal size
3.3.1.3 Calender roller surface hardness should be greater than 70HS, and the roller surface hardness difference should not be greater than 4HS. 3.3.1.4 Calender roller journal hardness should not be greater than 48HS. 3.3.1.5 Calender roller surface roughness R. should not be greater than 0.4 um. Approved by the Ministry of Light Industry of the People's Republic of China on December 31, 1991, and implemented on August 1, 1992, QB/T1424—1991
3.3.1.6 Calender roller surface roundness should not be less than Grade 5 specified in GB/T1184. 3.3.1.7 Calender roller surface cylindricality should not be less than Grade 6 specified in GB/T1184. 3.3.1.8 The runout of the calender roller surface to the bearing stop circle shall not be less than Grade 6 as specified in GB/T1184. 3.3.1.9 For roller surfaces with medium and high values, if the user has no special requirements, they shall be processed according to the design requirements. 3.3.1.10 Pinholes and sand holes, etc. that affect the performance of the calender roller are not allowed to be present on the working roller surface width. The diameter of pinholes and sand holes on the roller surface outside the working width is allowed to be no more than 0.5mm and the depth is no more than 1mm. No more than 3 pinholes per 100cm are not required to be repaired. 3.3.2 Frame
3.3.2.1 Castings shall be aged.
3.3.2.2 The verticality tolerance of the positive guide rail of the frame to the bottom plane is 0.08mm/m. 3.3.2.3 The verticality tolerance of the side guide rail of the frame to the bottom surface is 0.12mm/m. 3.4 Assembly quality
3.4.1 The calender shall be pre-assembled on a base plate that meets the levelness requirements. 3.4.2 The center distance deviation between the two frames shall not exceed ±0.5mm. 3.4.3 The levelness of the active roller shall be ±0.03mm/m when the working speed is greater than 350m/min; ±0.05mm/m when the working speed is less than 350m/min.
3.4.4 The contact of the calender roller surface shall be tested for light transmission. Generally, the test shall be carried out under the dead weight of the roller. If the user has special requirements, the test may be carried out under line pressure as specified in the contract. During the test, no light is allowed within the working width of the roller surface. 3.4.5 Each calender roller above the bottom roller shall be tested for lifting and lowering, reciprocating for more than 3 times, and each lifting and lowering shall be free of obstruction. 3.4.6 Each scraper shall be tested for lifting and lowering action, which shall be flexible and free of obstruction. 3.4.7 The rotary joint shall be free of leakage under a pressure of 0.2MPa. 3.5 Safety
Safety protection devices should be installed on the parts of the calender that may cause damage to people or equipment. 3.6 Appearance quality
3.6.1 The appearance surface is flat and smooth, and the outer edges of the joints of adjacent parts should not have obvious deviations. 3.6.2 Exposed accessories and matching parts should be coordinated, harmonious and beautiful with the calender. 3.6.3 The painting requirements for the outer surface of the calender should comply with the provisions of QB/T842.7 when the user has no special requirements. 4 Test methods and inspection rules
4.1 Each calender can only be shipped after being inspected and qualified by the inspection department of the manufacturer, and documents proving the product's qualification should be provided when it leaves the factory. 4.2 The final assembly of each calender is carried out on-site at the user's factory, but pre-assembly should be carried out at the manufacturer. 4.3 Factory Inspection
Main parts processing quality inspection shall comply with the requirements of Article 3.3, and quality records can generally be checked; assembly quality inspection shall comply with the requirements of Article 3.4; b.
Appearance quality inspection adopts visual inspection method and shall comply with the requirements of Article 3.6; c.
d. Geometric tolerances shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 1958, and roughness shall be measured by roughness meter or comparison sample block. 4.4 Type Inspection
The calender shall be carried out in the user's factory when new products are trial-produced and identified or the national quality supervision agency proposes type inspection requirements. The following items shall be inspected:
Product performance test shall be carried out according to the unified specifications commonly used in pulp and paper mills, and shall comply with the requirements of Article 3.2.1. a.
b. All mechanisms, electrical, hydraulic, lubrication, pneumatic systems, safety protection devices, etc. of the calender are working properly. 5.1 The calender should be equipped with product labels in obvious places, with the following contents: 28
