National Standard of the People's Republic of China Technical Specification for Quarantine of Breeding Livestock and Poultry in Transportation Code of quarantine technology for the movement of breeding livestock and poultry1 Subject content and scope of application GB16567-1996 This standard specifies the technical specifications for pre-transportation quarantine, transportation quarantine and destination quarantine in the movement of breeding livestock and poultry. This standard applies to the movement of domestic breeding livestock and poultry. The movement of other breeding animals can refer to this standard. 2 Referenced standards GB16549—1996 Quarantine of livestock and poultry at the origin 3 Quarantine before shipment of transferred breeding livestock and poultrywwW.bzxz.Net 3.1 Quarantine time Transferred breeding livestock and poultry shall be quarantined at the original breeding livestock and poultry farm or quarantine farm within 15 to 30 days before shipment. 3.2 Quarantine Items and Procedures Investigate and understand the epidemic situation of the livestock and poultry farm in the past six months. If a Class I infectious disease and anthrax, glanders, brucellosis, treponemal epilepsy in pigs, madie/visna disease in sheep, Newcastle disease in chickens and rabbit viral hemorrhagic disease are found, stop transporting susceptible livestock and poultry. Check the archives and vaccination records of the transferred breeding livestock and poultry, then conduct group and individual quarantine and make detailed records. 3.2.1 Group quarantine Perform in accordance with GB16549. 3.2.2 Individual quarantine Perform in accordance with GB16549. 3.2.3 Diseased horses and donkeys that should be clinically examined and laboratory tested: glanders, equine infectious anemia, equine nasal pneumonia. Cattle: foot-and-mouth disease, brucellosis, blue tongue, tuberculosis, bovine leukemia, paratuberculosis, bovine infectious pleuropneumonia (bovine pleuropneumonia), bovine infectious rhinotracheitis, bovine viral diarrhea/mucosal disease. Sheep: foot-and-mouth disease, brucellosis, blue tongue, goat arthritis encephalitis, sheep madie/vesna disease, sheep pox, mite disease. Swine: foot-and-mouth disease, swine fever, swine vesicular disease, swine mycoplasma pneumonia, swine treponematosis. Vaccine: rabbit viral hemorrhagic disease, clostridial disease, rabbit spirochetosis, rabbit coccidiosis. Chicken: Newcastle disease, young pullorum, avian leukemia, avian mycoplasma disease, duck plague, goose plague. 3.3 Animals that are determined to be healthy through the above 3.2.1~~3.2.3 will be issued a "health certificate" and allowed to depart. 4. Quarantine of 4 kinds of livestock and poultry during transportation 4.1 When the livestock and poultry are shipped, the local livestock and poultry quarantine department should send personnel to the site for supervision and inspection. 4.2 Vehicles, ships, cabins and feeding utensils carrying the breeding livestock and poultry must be cleaned, washed and disinfected before loading. Approved by the local State Technical Supervision Bureau of Livestock and Poultry on October 3, 1996 and implemented on February 1, 1997 The quarantine department shall inspect and issue a transportation quarantine certificate after passing the inspection. GB16567-1996 4.3 During transportation, it is not allowed to load fodder, drinking water and related materials at stations, ports and airports in epidemic areas. 4.4 During transportation, the escort should frequently observe the health status of the breeding livestock and poultry, and contact the local livestock and poultry quarantine department in time if any abnormality is found, and deal with it according to relevant regulations. 5 Quarantine of livestock after they arrive at their destination 5.1 After the arrival of livestock and poultry, they shall be observed in the quarantine field for 15 to 30 days according to quarantine requirements. 5.2 During the quarantine observation period, the quarantine of 3.2.1 to 3.2.3 shall be carried out. 5.3 Animals can only be used for breeding and production after they are confirmed to be healthy after inspection.
