This standard specifies the specifications and types of the sockets and plugs of the 24N type electrical connector between a vehicle and a trailer. The electrical connectors are interchangeable. This standard applies to highway and urban road vehicles with a rated voltage of 24V for the electrical system. This standard is equivalent to the international standard ISO 1185-1975 "Road vehicles - 24N type electrical connectors (standard type) for 24V electrical devices between tractor vehicles and towed vehicles". National Standard of the People's Republic of China Electrical connections between motor vehiclesand towed vehicles-Type 24N UDC 629.11 GB5053.1-85 This standard specifies the specifications and types of the sockets and plugs of the 24N type electrical connectors between motor vehicles and towed vehicles. The electrical connectors are interchangeable. This standard is applicable to highway and urban road vehicles with a rated voltage of 24V for the electrical system. This standard is equivalent to the international standard ISO1185--1975 "Road vehicles-24N type electrical connectors (standard type) for 24V electrical devices between towing vehicles and towed vehicles". Note: Type N (Normal) means standard type. 1 Number and arrangement of contacts 1.1 Number of contacts The number of contacts is 7, and their serial numbers and uses are as follows: 1 Common circuit, 2 Left rear position light, clearance light, rear license plate light, 3 Left turn signal light; Brake light; 5 Right turn signal light, 6 Right rear position light, clearance light, rear license plate light, 7 Trailer brake controller. Note: When connecting the rear license plate light, the light can only be connected to one of contacts 2 and 6. 1.2 Arrangement of contacts The arrangement of contacts is shown in Figure 1 (socket) and Figure 2 (plug). The serial numbers of the 7 contacts are consistent with the serial numbers in 1.1 of this standard. 2 Socket The socket of a full-trailer train is installed at the rear of the car, and the socket of a semi-trailer train should be installed at the front of the semi-trailer (if necessary, it can also be installed on the tractor). The socket is equipped with 7 contacts: 6 pins (serial number 2, 3, 45, 6, 7). 1 larger pin (serial number 1). bZxz.net All contacts and contacts and housing should be insulated. Contact 1 is connected to the common circuit of the vehicle. The rear terminal can be connected to 2 wires with a cross-sectional area of at least 1.5mm2. The wiring should be convenient, firm, and conductive. The wires should be insulated. The socket should have a protective cover (also called socket cover) that is hinged on the socket and can automatically cover the socket after the plug is pulled out. The cover should have a clamping flange to ensure that it is clamped firmly after the plug is inserted. On the inner surface of the socket protective cover and the terminal seat surface (except for wires die-cast into the socket), there should be clear and permanent contact digital markings with a length of not less than 2mm. If digital markings are not used, the contact position should comply with the provisions of 1.1 and 1.2. Issued by the National Bureau of Standards on March 9, 1985 Implemented on February 1, 1986 GB 5053.1--85 All metal parts of the socket are made of corrosion-resistant or anti-corrosion treated materials. 3 Plugs The plug and cable of the full-trailer train are installed at the front of the trailer, while the plug and cable of the semi-trailer train should be installed at the rear of the tractor (if necessary, it can also be installed at the front of the semi-trailer). The plug has 7 contacts: 6 elastic plugs (serial numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7). 1 larger elastic plug (serial number 1). The elastic plug of the plug matches the pin of the socket in sequence according to the serial number. Generally, the plug can be pushed into the socket with a medium thrust, and good conductivity is guaranteed. The rear terminal can be connected to a wire with a cross-sectional area of at least 2.5mm2. On the terminal seat surface (except for the wire die-cast plug), there should be clear and permanent digital markings for the contacts, and the length of the markings should not be less than 2mm. If no digital markings are used, the contact positions should comply with the provisions of 1.1 and 1.2. The seven-core cable is fixed to the plug, and a wire pressing device can be provided on the plug to prevent the cable from being pulled apart or broken. The place where the cable enters the plug should be waterproof and dustproof. All metal parts of the plug are made of corrosion-resistant or anti-corrosion treated materials. 4 Identification Marks The shell of the 24N type electrical connector should be dark and durable, preferably black. There should be a permanent "24N" mark on the outer surface of the socket protective cover and the plug shell, and the electrical connector shell should have the manufacturer's name. 5 Wire color regulations in the circuit Contact number Common circuit Left rear position light, indicator light, rear license plate light Left turn signal light Brake light Right turn signal light Right rear position light, clearance light, rear license plate lightTrailer brake controller Wire color 100m#a GB 5053.1—85 When the cover is opened Contact 1 Reference surface Figure 1 Socket [Seal diagram When the plug is inserted Position of the cover Reference surface GB 5053.1—85 Determined by manufacturing Downward Right, left Figure 2 Plug Socket and plug assembly A—A section Socket cover Cable connector Cable GB5053.1—85 Additional instructions: This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Communications of the People's Republic of China and is under the jurisdiction of the Standardization and Metrology Institute of the Ministry of Communications.
