Technical Conditions for Sealed Glow Plugs
1 Subject Content and Scope of Application
This standard specifies technical requirements, inspection rules, marking and packaging. JB.5783-91
Partial Alternative Police JB3259-83
This standard applies to sealed glow plugs (hereinafter referred to as glow plugs) with a power supply voltage of 12V and 24V for cold starting of diesel engines. 2 Reference Standards
JB3259 Type and Dimensions of Sealed Glow Plugs JB5784 Test Methods for Sealed Glow Plugs
GB2828 Batch Inspection Counting Sampling Procedure and Sampling Table Type and Dimensions
The type and dimensions of glow plugs shall comply with the provisions of JB3259 standard. 4 Technical Requirements
Glow plugs shall be manufactured in accordance with this standard and drawings approved by the prescribed procedures. 4.2 Metal parts and insulators shall not have cracks, and the threaded parts shall not have missing teeth, deformation and other appearance defects that affect product performance. 4.3 Sealing performance
The glow plug is subjected to a pressure of 4MPa (40.8kgf/cm*) for 15s, and continuous leakage is not allowed in all parts of the glow plug. 4.4 Cold resistance
When the room temperature is 23±5℃, the cold resistance value of the glow plug with a power supply voltage of 12V shall not be less than 0.1α; the cold resistance value of the glow plug with a power supply voltage of 24V shall not be less than 0.4.α. 4.5. Temperature rise test
When the room temperature is 23±5℃, the surface temperature of the glow plug within 8mm of the end of the heating element (as shown in Figure 1) reaches 850℃ and 1000℃, the power-on time shall meet the requirements of Table 1. Temperature measuring part

After the glow plug has been subjected to a test voltage of 125% of its rated voltage for 15s, the glow plug shall still comply with the corresponding provisions of Articles 4.5 and 4.6 of this standard.
4.8 Overload test
Apply three different test voltages to the glow plug in the following order, each lasting 2 minutes. After the test, the glow plug shall still comply with the corresponding provisions of Articles 4.5 and 4.6 of this standard.
a. ,- Rated voltage of glow plug
110% of the rated voltage of glow plug;
,115% of the rated voltage of glow plug.
4.9 Power-on and power-off test
When the power plug is 10% higher than its rated voltage, the power supply voltage of 12V fast-type glow plug is powered on for 15s and powered off for 15s; the power supply voltage of 12V ordinary-type glow plug is powered on for 25s and powered off for 25s; the power supply voltage of 24V ordinary-type glow plug is powered on for 50s and powered off for 50s, and this is repeated continuously. The number of power-on and power-off tests shall be agreed upon by the supply and demand parties. After the power-on and power-off tests, the glow plug should not show any abnormal phenomenon. Vibration test
The alarm test requirements of the glow plug shall be agreed upon by the supply and demand parties. 4.11 Random durability test
The durability of the glow plug varies according to the engine type, and its requirements shall be agreed upon by the supply and demand parties. Inspection rules
5.1· Glow plugs must be inspected and qualified by the manufacturer's inspection department before leaving the factory, and a product quality certificate should be attached. 5.2 Users have the right to inspect and accept products in accordance with the inspection rules and test methods specified in this standard. JB5783-91
5.3 Glow plugs should be inspected in batches according to model. Each batch is made under the same conditions, and the number should be within the range of 281 to 3200. 5.4 The test method for glow plugs shall be carried out in accordance with the corresponding provisions of JB5784. 5.5 The inspection of glow plugs is divided into factory inspection and type inspection. 5.5.1 Factory inspection
