QB 2551 - 2002
This standard is a revision of the professional standard ZBY91003-1988 "Technical Conditions for Cast Iron Drying Cylinders for Papermaking Machinery" issued by the former Ministry of Light Industry (this standard was issued by the State Light Industry Department [1999] No. 112 and converted to standard number QB3662-1999, and the content remains unchanged). The revised contents are as follows:
The outer diameter of the cast iron drying cylinder is expanded from 3000mm to 3800mm, and the operating pressure is increased from 0.5MPa to 0.8MPa; the material of the high-pressure cast iron drying cylinder is HT300, and the cylinder surface hardness is divided into two grades according to the outer diameter of the cylinder: because the outer diameter of the drying cylinder is expanded to 3800mm, the balance of the drying performance is related to the speed and rotation speed, and it is also divided into two grades according to the outer diameter of the cylinder. The surface roughness of the cylinder body is also adjusted. Appendix A of this standard is a normative appendix. This standard is proposed by the China Light Industry Federation. 1 Scope

QB2551-2002
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage that cast iron drying cylinders for papermaking machinery must have as pressure vessels.
This standard is applicable to the drying parts and blanket drying cylinders (hereinafter collectively referred to as "drying cylinders") of papermaking machines and paperboard machines with an outer diameter of less than 3800 mm and a working pressure of no more than 0.8 MPa. 2 Normative references

3 Requirements
3.1 Basic requirements

3.1.1 The design and manufacture of drying cylinders shall comply with the provisions of relevant standards. The design unit shall hold the pressure vessel design unit approval letter, and the manufacturing unit shall hold the pressure vessel manufacturing license. 3.1.2 Drying cylinders are Class 1 pressure vessels and should be manufactured according to the drawings and technical documents approved in the prescribed procedures. 3.1.3 Cast iron drying cylinder manufacturers with an outer diameter of not less than 2000mm and a design pressure of 0.5MPa should provide the quality and technical supervision agency with a finite element analysis design strength calculation report. 3.2 Materials of drying cylinders
3.2.1 The materials of the cylinder body and cylinder cover should comply with the provisions of GB/T 9439-1988. a) When the design pressure is 0.3MPa, it should not be less than HT200; b) When the design pressure is 0.5MPa, it should not be less than IIT250; c) When the design pressure is 0.8MPa, it should not be less than HT300. 3.2.2 The material of the manhole cover should not be less than HT200. 3.2. 3.2.4 When there are special requirements for the material of the bolts, it can be determined by negotiation between the supply and demand parties, and must meet the grade and corresponding mechanical performance indicators specified in this standard.
3.2.5 The performance level of the bolts used to connect the tension tube body and the two ends is not lower than 8.8: 1
QB2551—2002| |tt||3.3 The cylinder head of the drying cylinder should be aged after casting. Measures should be taken in the casting process of the cylinder body to eliminate the residual stress of casting. 3.4 When the cylinder surface is initially ground and found to have defects larger than 0.5mm, repair is allowed. Welding is not allowed during repair. Only rivet repair with the same material is allowed, and the following regulations should be met:
The diameter of the rivet should not be greater than its length, and should not exceed 8mm: a
The center distance between two adjacent repair holes should not be less than the sum of the diameters of the two repair holes; the depth of the repair should not exceed 40% of the total thickness; the number of repair holes on the cylinder surface should be per square meter. 3.5 Cylinder body processing, when the outer diameter is less than 2000mm, the surface hardness shall not be less than HB170, when the outer diameter is greater than 2000mm, the cylinder surface hardness shall be greater than HB190. The hardness difference between the two ends of the surface shall not be less than HB18~243.6 Balance of drying cylinder
3.6.1 For drying cylinders with an outer diameter less than 2000mm, when the speed is less than 300m/min, For drying cylinders with an outer diameter of less than 2000mm, when the speed is greater than 1001/min, static balance check shall be carried out: the residual unbalance shall not exceed 0.0005 of the weight of the drying cylinder. 3.6.2 For drying cylinders with an outer diameter of less than 2000mm, when the speed is greater than 300m/min, and for drying cylinders with an outer diameter of more than 2000mm, when the speed is greater than 100r/min, dynamic balance check shall be carried out, and the balance quality shall not be lower than G4 level specified in QB/T3917:1999. 3.6.3 The required amount of each balance block shall not exceed 25kg. 3.7 Drying cylinder processing quality requirements

3.7.2 When the drying cylinder of a multi-function paper machine is supplied with the paper machine as a set, it should be numbered according to the actual outer diameter of the drying cylinder. The difference between the maximum and minimum outer diameters of the same drying cylinder should not exceed 0.5mm. 3.8 All fasteners should be subjected to oxidation treatment. 3.9 The drying cylinder must be equipped with a vent hole and a drain hole for water pressure test, and the two holes are 180° apart. 3.10 After the drying cylinder is assembled, a water pressure test must be carried out, and the test pressure should be 2 times the design pressure. 3.11 The surface of the drying cylinder should have a uniform gloss after fine grinding, without obvious wear marks and patching marks. 4 Test methods and inspection rules
4.1 Mechanical properties test
4.1.1 When casting the cylinder elbow, at least one single cast test bar should be cast. When casting the cover, at least three single cast test bars should be cast for each bag of molten iron. The preparation of single cast test bars shall comply with the provisions of GL1/I9439-1988. The tensile test specimen shall adopt the B-type test specimen specified in JB/Jiang 7945-1999. 4.1.2 Each cylinder body shall be subjected to at least one tensile test of one specimen, and the inspection rules shall be implemented in accordance with the provisions of GB/T9439~1988. If the tensile test specimens of both cylinder bodies are invalid due to casting defects, three tensile test specimens shall be taken from the old cylinder body for retesting. 4.2 Hardness test

4.2.1 After each cylinder body is dried and heated, a hardness test shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T9439-1988. The test points shall be measured at each end within the range of 80mm~100mm from both ends of the body. The arithmetic mean of the hardness of the two points measured is the cylinder surface hardness value. 4.2.2 The hardness values ​​of the two points measured shall meet the requirements of 3.5. If the test results do not meet the requirements, repeat the test according to GB/T9439-1988. 4.3 When calibrating the static balance, a guide rail balancing device shall be used. 4.4 The surface roughness comparison sample block shall be checked for contour. 4.5 The cylindricality of the cylinder surface can be measured at different sections: the diameter method (i.e. two-point method). a) When the cylinder surface hardness is less than 3m, measure at least 10000 points at equal distances; b) When the cylinder surface width is not less than 30000 points, measure at least 10000 points at equal distances. 4.6 The radial pressure test shall be detected by a meter on the machine tool. 4.7 The water temperature of the water pressure test shall not be lower than 5℃, and the holding time shall not be less than 15min. Then it shall be reduced to the design pressure and maintained for 30min. There shall be no pressure reduction or leakage during the test, and the accumulated water shall be removed after the test. 4.8 Each drying cylinder shall be inspected and qualified by the quality inspection department of the manufacturer in accordance with the requirements of this standard before it can be shipped to the factory. 5 Marking, packaging, transportation, storage
5.1 Each drying cylinder shall be stamped with the factory number on the shaft end on the operating side. For drying cylinders with rotation direction requirements, the rotation direction mark shall also be made on the insulation board or cylinder cover on the operating side.
5.2 When the drying chain is supplied as a set with multiple paper machines, the grouping mark shall be made on the operating side. 5.3 Each drying cylinder shall be nailed with a label. The label shall be nailed on a single insulation board or cover on the operating side. The upper edge of the label shall be 200mm from the surface. The label shall comply with the provisions of GB/T13306-1991, including the content. a) Name:

5.4 The lower surface must be clean and coated with rust-proof grease, and wrapped with moisture-proof paper. 5.5
The air holes of the shaft head must be tightly sealed with plate materials. The shaft head should be coated with anti-rust grease and wrapped with oil-proof paper and oil-applied paper. The drying cylinder should be firmly fixed on the chassis and suitable for water and land transportation and loading requirements 5.63
After the drying cylinder is packaged, it is not allowed to be stored in the open air for a long time, nor is it allowed to be placed on a damp or waterlogged ground. It should not be placed, hit or dropped.
