1 Scope of application and setting location
1.0.1 The personal protection emergency system in chemical plants and petrochemical plants includes safety spray eyewash, protective masks, emergency oxygen breathing system, special agents, mechanical damage protection, etc. This regulation only stipulates the setting up of safety sprayers and safety eyewashers.
1.0.2 For chemical plants that have chemicals that burn (commonly known as corrosion) to the human body, irritate and penetrate the human skin (including mucous membranes and eyes), and are easily absorbed by skin tissue and damage internal organs and tissues (commonly known as toxic), emergency spray eyewash (commonly known as safety spray eyewash) personal protection emergency measures 1.0.3 Installation location and position
1.0.3.1 The distance between the installation location of the safety spray eyewash and the possible accident point is related to the toxicity, corrosiveness and temperature of the chemicals used or produced. The installation point and requirements are usually proposed by the process. (1) In the production and use areas of general toxic and corrosive chemicals, including near the loading and unloading, storage and analysis sampling points, a safety spray eyewash station is set at a distance of 20-30m. (2) In the production and use areas of highly toxic, highly corrosive chemicals and chemicals with temperatures above 70°C, as well as acidic and alkaline materials, including loading and unloading, storage, and analysis sampling points, it is necessary to install a safety spray eyewash. Its location should be set 3m to 6m away from the accident site (dangerous area), but not less than 3m, and should be arranged away from the direction of chemical injection to avoid affecting its use when an accident occurs.
1.0.3.2 In chemical analysis laboratories, where toxic and corrosive reagents are frequently used and there is a possibility of human injury, safety spray eyewashes should be installed. 1.0.3.3 Safety spray eyewashes should be installed near the battery charging room. 1.0.3.4 Safety spray eyewashes should be installed in unobstructed passages. Multi-story factories are generally arranged near the same axis or near the exit.
2 Graphic symbols and representation methods
2.0.1 Safety spray eyewash belongs to the category of special pipe fittings. The graphic symbols, category codes and numbering methods used in the pipeline instrument flow chart can be found in the industry standard "Pipeline Instrument Flow Chart Design Regulations" (HG20559-93). 2.0.2 Safety spray eyewash should be shown on the auxiliary material and public material pipeline instrument distribution diagram, and numbered and marked. It can be shown alone on the domestic water pipeline instrument distribution diagram, or it can be shown together with water-using equipment on the domestic water pipeline instrument distribution diagram. The representation method can be found in the industry standard "Pipeline Instrument Flow Chart Design Content and Depth Regulations" (HG20559.1-93).
3.0.1 Design conditions for water supply and drainage
3.0.1.1 Water quality requirements
3 Design conditions and requirements
Use domestic water (drinking water). Filtered water should be used where there is no domestic water. 3.0.1.2 Water pressure 0.2~0.4MPa (table). 3.0.1.3 Water temperature 10~35℃ is appropriate.
3.0.1.4 Water volume The minimum water flow of the safety sprayer is 114l/min (the minimum water flow of the safety sprayer installed in the laboratory is 76l/min), and the minimum water flow of the safety eyewash is 121/min (each use requires 15 minutes of flushing). The water volume requires continuous and sufficient supply. 3.0.1.5 At least twice a week.
3.0.2 Pipeline layout design requirements
3.0.2.1 The safety spray eyewash should be connected to the water supply pipeline that flows frequently as much as possible, and the connecting pipeline should be as short as possible.
3.0.2.2 The spray head of the safety sprayer (not an assembled product) should be installed at a height of 2.0m~2.4m. 3.0.2.3 When the water quality is poor (it contains solids), add a filter in front of the safety eyewash, and the filter screen should be 80 mesh.
3.0.2.4 The water supply pipe of the safety spray eyewash should be galvanized steel pipe. 3.0.2.5 In cold areas, use buried safety spray eyewash, and its water inlet and outlet must be 200mm below the frozen soil layer.
3.0.2.6 If warm water is required (warm water temperature is 15~35℃), use electric heating safety spray eyewash.
3.0.3 Electrical design requirements
3.0.3.1 A sign light should be set at the safety spray eyewash, and the light should be green. If it is in an explosion-proof area, an explosion-proof lamp should be used.
3.0.3.2 If the safety spray eyewash station uses electric heating, an explosion-proof type should be selected in the explosion-proof area. 3.0.4 Automatic control design requirements
Each safety spray eyewash station shall be equipped with an indication signal in the control room. 3.0.5 Other design requirements
3.0.5.1 Safety signs shall be set up at the safety spray eyewash station and shall be eye-catching. The background color of the signs shall be green and the characters shall be white.
3.0.5.2 For buried safety spray eyewash stations, 10~30mm pebbles shall be backfilled about 0.5m around the water inlet and outlet to ensure smooth drainage. Usually, a floor drain shall be set at each safety spray eyewash station. 3.0.5.3 Safety spray eyewash stations shall be set up indoors, and the ground shall slope toward the nearest drainage ditch or drainage floor drain to facilitate drainage.
3.0.5.4 A certain number of clean towel blankets, overalls and shoes should be available in the workshop as temporary replacements for the injured.
