Place the sample to be tested in an environment with a temperature of 23℃±2℃ and a relative humidity of 50%±5% for at least 72 hours in accordance with the provisions of GB/T10739.
5.2 Appearance
Visually inspect the sample at a distance of 300mm from the sample in an environment with sufficient natural light or under equivalent lighting conditions. 5.3 Dimensions
The dimensions of the paper corner protectors should be measured using appropriate general measuring tools under bright light. 3
BB/T 0023—2004
5.3.1 Paper corner protector edge width
Measure with a general measuring tool with an accuracy of not less than 0.1mm. The edge width measurement position is measured once at any interval of 100mm along the length direction, and a total of three points are measured, and the average value of the three times is taken. The edge width is accurate to 0.1mm. 5.3.2 Paper corner protector thickness
Measure with a vernier caliper with an accuracy of 0.02mm, and measure once at any interval of 100mm along the length direction, and a total of three points are measured, and the average value of the three times is taken. The thickness is accurate to 0.1mm. 5.3.3 Paper corner protector length
Measure with a general measuring tool such as a tape measure or steel ruler with an accuracy of 1mm. The length measurement position is at the top corner of the paper corner protector. Accurate to 1 mm.
5.4 Angle
Measure with a general protractor with an accuracy of 1° or a special test device. The angle measurement position is on the outside of the paper corner protector. Accurate to 1°. 5.5 Mass
Use a balance or electronic scale with an accuracy error of no more than 0.1g for weighing. 5.6 Moisture content
The moisture content test shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T462. 5.6.1 Inspection instruments: a balance with a sensitivity of 0.001g, an aluminum box or a weighing bottle, a dryer, an oven that can be controlled at 105℃±2℃, and a rapid moisture meter.
5.6.2 Rapid moisture determination method: Use a rapid moisture meter to measure three points at different parts of each paper corner protector, and finally calculate the average value of the five samples.
When using a rapid moisture meter, the instrument should be calibrated in advance. When doubts or arbitration inspections occur, the moisture content is determined by the oven method.
5.6.3 Oven determination method: Weigh about 50g of sample (accurate to 0.001g) from different parts of each sample, make small pieces and place them in a weighing bottle (or aluminum box) of known mass, and bake them in an oven at 105℃±2℃ until constant weight. Each weighing should be accurate to 0.001g. 5.6.3.1 Test method
Accurately weigh and record the original mass of the sample, then dry the sample in a drying oven at a constant temperature of 105℃±2℃ until the mass of the sample is constant at a fixed value (that is, the difference between the two values measured at least 1h apart is less than 0.2% of the original sample mass), and then record the mass after drying.
The moisture content is calculated according to formula (1):
X = m=m2 ×100%
Where:
X—moisture content, %
m1—mass of the sample before drying, in grams (g); m2—mass of the sample after drying, in grams (g). The test result is accurate to 0.1%.
5.7 Longitudinal compression resistance
· (1)
Five specimens of 300 mm in length are cut from any part of the paper corner protector. The end face of the sample is smooth and flat, without wear, and perpendicular to the side.
Place the sample vertically in the center of the two flat plates of the compression tester. The movable plate compresses the sample at a rate of 10 mm/min±2 mm/min until it collapses, and record the maximum compressive strength at the time of collapse. Take the average value of the five samples. 5.8 Bending test
Take five specimens of 300mm length from any part of the paper corner protector. Place the specimen on a bending test stand with a spacing of 200mm. In the middle, use a loading head with a side length of 120mm at 90°, a contact surface width of 4

18mm, and a mass of 2kg. The loading head is placed in the middle of the specimen. The loading head applies force to the sample at a rate of about 100mm/min±10mm/min, and the maximum value at the time of crushing is recorded. As shown in Figure 1. Take the average value of the five samples. - Loading head,
