International organizations, both governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO also participate in this work. ISO works closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all electrical standards. The draft international standard adopted by the technical committee shall be circulated to the member groups for voting. Only when at least 75% of the member groups vote in favor can it be officially published as an international standard.
