Chemical Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China HG/T 2538 93 Tensile properties of polyester film for magnetic tape Determination method Issued on September 6, 1993 Ministry of Chemical Industry of the People's Republic of China Implementation on July 1, 1994 Chemical Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China Determination method for tensile properties of polyester film for magnetic tape HG/T 2538-93 This standard refers to the international standard IS01184-1983 (E) "Determination of tensile properties of plastic films" 1 Subject content and scope of application This standard specifies the determination method for tensile properties of polyester film for magnetic tape. This standard is applicable to polyester films for various types of magnetic tapes, as well as polyester films for floppy disks, etc. 2 Reference standards GB2918 Standard environment for state adjustment and testing of plastic specimens GB/T 6845 Method for determining thickness of film GB13022 Test method for tensile properties of plastic films 3 Measuring instruments and devices 3.1 Any tensile testing machine that meets the requirements of 3.2, 3.3, and 3.4 can be used. 32 The clamps of the testing machine should ensure that the specimen is clamped reliably and is not damaged. When the load is applied, the clamps on the testing machine should be able to align into a line immediately so that the long axis of the specimen coincides with the center line of the clamps. 3.3 The error of the moving speed of the testing machine clamps (i.e., the tensile speed) should be less than ±1%). 3.4 The tensile force indication of the testing machine should be between 10% and 90% of the full scale range of the dial (or the full scale range of each gear), and the indication error should be within ±1%. 4 Sample 4.1 Sample shape and size According to the provisions of GB13022, this method adopts the sample shape of long strips, with a width of 10-15mm and a total length of not less than 150mm. 4.2 Sample selection It can be selected according to different products or according to the provisions of existing product standards. Under normal circumstances, the width error should be within the range of ±1%; the gauge length is 100mm, and the error is within the range of ±1%. 4.3 Sample preparation 4.3.1 The sample should be cut at equal distances along the entire width of the sample, so that the long sides of the longitudinal sample and the transverse sample are parallel to the longitudinal stretching direction (MD) and transverse stretching direction (TD) of the film respectively- : 4.3.2 The sample can be cut by a cutter or a punch. The prepared sample should meet the requirements of 4.1 and 4.2. The edge of the sample should be smooth and without notches, and the surface should be free of wrinkles and crystal points. If there are scratches, remove them. 4.3.3 The marking lines of the specimen gauge length shall be accurately printed or drawn and shall not have any adverse effects on the specimen. 4.4 Number of samples The specimens shall be grouped in each test direction, with no less than 5 specimens in each group. Approved by the Ministry of Chemical Industry of the People's Republic of China on September 6, 1993 and implemented on July 1, 1994 5 Test conditions 5.1 Specimen state adjustment and standard test environment HG/T 2538-93 The specimen state shall be adjusted according to the normal deviation range of the standard environment specified in GB2918, and the time shall be no less than 4h. The measurement shall be carried out under this standard environment. The specimen shall be clean. 5.2 Test speed It can be selected according to different products or according to the provisions of existing product standards. In general, the tensile test speed should be selected between 100 mm/ min. 6 Test steps 6.1 Use the measuring tool specified in GB/T6845 with a spherical upper side and a flat lower side to measure the thickness of the sample. The measuring tool accuracy is 0.00025mm; use a measuring tool with an accuracy of 0.1mm to measure the width of the sample, and use a disc with an accuracy of 1mm to measure the gauge length of the sample. The thickness and width of each sample should be measured at three points equidistantly within the gauge length, and the arithmetic average should be taken. The thickness is accurate to 0 00025mm. 62 Before each test, the thickness gauge and tensile machine must be zeroed. 63 Stack the sample in the two clamps of the testing machine so that the longitudinal axis of the sample coincides with the center line of the two clamps. The clamps should be appropriately tight to prevent the sample from slipping and breaking at the clamp mouth and inside the clamp. The clamps should be padded with elastic materials such as rubber. At the same time, the sample should also be appropriately tight to prevent unnecessary initial force and the phenomenon of tensile force only appearing after a period of pulling. 6.4 Start the testing machine at the specified speed for testing. 65 Read the load when the elongation is 5%, the maximum load and the distance between the markings at the time of fracture. If the sample breaks at the clamp mouth or outside the markings, the test is invalid and another sample is taken for re-testing. 66 The same test method should be selected when the same sample is tilted in different directions. 7 Calculation and expression of results 7.1 Tensile strength: The maximum load per unit area of the original transverse surface of the effective part of the specimen (distance between markings), expressed as a, (MPa), calculated according to formula (1): a Where: p— maximum load, N: b—original width of the specimen, Ⅱm; d—original thickness of the specimen, mm \.2 (i.e. F-5 value): During the test, the stress when the elongation of the distance between the markings of the specimen is 5% is expressed by (MPa) and calculated according to formula (2): Where: P—load when the elongation is 5%, N;b—original width of the specimen, mm;www.bzxz.net d—original thickness of the specimen, mm, 7.3 Elongation at break: The percentage of the elongation disk of the effective distance between the markings when the specimen breaks to the original distance between the markings of the specimen is expressed by e, (%) and calculated according to formula [3]:2 HG/T2538—93 Where: L. —---The distance between the original marking lines of the sample, mm; L-The distance between the marking lines when the sample breaks, subclass 100% 7.4 The tensile strength, α (F-5 value), and elongation at break are all taken to three significant figures, and the test results of each group of samples are expressed as the arithmetic mean. 7.5 If the standard deviation S is calculated, it is calculated by formula (4): 2(x-x)2 Where: X- 8 Test report Each measurement value: The arithmetic mean of the group of measurement values The number of group of measurement values. The test report should include the following contents: Specimen name, batch (number), variety, specification, source; b. Specimen state adjustment and standard number of standard environment test adopted during the test; Results of tensile properties; , test date, operator, reviewer Additional statement: This standard is proposed by the Technical Supervision Department of the Ministry of Chemical Industry of the People's Republic of China.
