This standard is based on the revision of the national standard plan project formulated by the former State Bureau of Technical Supervision in 1995, and revises GB2694--1981 "Technical Conditions for the Manufacture of Transmission Line Towers". The content of this standard adapts to the development of the tower manufacturing industry and the progress of processing technology, and adapts to international trade, technology and economic exchanges. This standard is a revision of GB2694-1981, with the following major revisions: a) Adjustment, addition and subtraction of some items and tolerances; The welding part is revised according to the provisions of GB50205-2001 "Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Steel Structure Engineering"; h)
c) Added the provisions of fasteners;
d) Modified the inspection rules;
e) Added Appendix A (Normative Appendix);
f) Added Appendix E (Normative Appendix).
This standard replaces GB2694-1981 from the date of implementation. Appendix A, Appendix B, Appendix C, Appendix D and Appendix E of this standard are all normative appendices. This standard was proposed by the former Ministry of Electric Power.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the Power Transmission and Transformation Equipment Branch of the China Electricity Council. The drafting units of this standard: Anshan Tower Manufacturing General Factory, Tower Quality Inspection and Testing Center of the Ministry of Electric Power Industry, and Anshan Tower Development and Research Center. The main drafters of this standard are Zhang Xianfeng, Li Changyue, Li Jinchun, Qi Jinming, Zhang Xinbo, Yang Yanguo, Wang Limin and Tang Xingmei. This standard was first issued on January 1, 1981. 1 Scope
Technical conditions for the manufacture of transmission line towers
GB/T2694—2003
This standard specifies the technical requirements, inspection rules, test methods and packaging, marking, transportation and storage requirements in the manufacturing process of transmission line towers.
This standard is applicable to the manufacture of transmission line towers, power microwave towers, communication towers and similar steel structures whose components are mainly made of angle steel and fasteners, and hot-dip galvanized for corrosion protection.

3.1 The manufacture of steel towers shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements of this standard and design drawings, and shall comply with the provisions of GB50205 and the provisions of relevant national standards in force.
3.2 When the design needs to be modified, the consent of the original design unit should be obtained and the design change document should be signed. 3.3 The materials should meet the requirements of the current national standards and design drawings, and should have a factory quality certificate. 3.4 Surface quality of steel: There should be no cracks, folds, scars, inclusions and heavy skin on the surface; when there are rust, pits and scratches on the surface, the depth should not be greater than 1/2 of the negative allowable deviation value of the steel thickness, and the cumulative error should be within the negative allowable deviation. 4 Technical requirements
4.1 Cutting
4.1.1 After the steel is cut, there should be no cracks and edge defects greater than 1.0mm on the fracture. The flatness of the cut surface at the cut is 0.05t (t is the thickness) and not more than 2.0mm, the depth of the cut is not more than 0.3mm, and the allowable deviation of the local notch depth is 1.0mm. 4.1.2 The allowable deviation of cutting shall be in accordance with the provisions of Table 1. 4.2 Marking
4.2.1 Parts shall be marked by stamping with steel characters in the order of engineering code (if necessary), tower type, and part number. 4.2.2 The stamps of the markings shall be arranged neatly and the characters shall not have defects. The height of the characters shall be 8mm to 18mm, and the depth of the stamp shall be 0.5mm to 1.0mm. The surface of the steel near the stamp shall not have concave or convex defects, and shall not have cracks or gaps on the edges. 4.2.3 The stamps of welded parts shall not be covered. 1
