GB 3120-~82
This standard applies to pure nickel round wire used as structural parts in radio, machinery manufacturing, chemical industry and other T industries. 1 Varieties
1.1 Brand and state
The brand and state of the wire shall comply with the provisions of Table 1. Table 1
N4, N6, N7, N8
Note: Nickel wires of N2 and other compositions can be supplied upon agreement between the supplier and the buyer. 1.2 Dimensions and allowable deviations
1.2.1 The wire diameter and allowable deviation shall comply with the provisions of Table 2. Table 2
Wire diameter
Allowable deviation
>0.03 ~0.10
20.10~0.30
Soft (M), semi-hard (Y), monument (Y)
>0.30~0.60
1.2.2Wires with other specifications and allowable deviations can be supplied by agreement between the two parties. 1.2.3The deviation level of the wire must be specified in the contract, otherwise it will be supplied as level 6. 1.3Manufacturing method
>0.60 ~1.00
1.00 ~3.00
Wires are manufactured by drawing method. The required supply state must be specified in the contract, otherwise it will be supplied as hard state. 1.4 Marking example
A soft wire made of N6 with a diameter of 2.5mm and a 6-level allowable deviation is marked as: Wire N6M6-2.5GB3120-82
2 Technical requirements
2.1 Chemical composition
: 3.00 ~ 6.00
The chemical composition of the wire should comply with the provisions of YB144-71 "Chemical composition of nickel and nickel alloy processing products" + N4, N6, N7, N8.

1983-03-01 Implementation
2.2 Surface quality
GB3120-82
The surface of the wire should be smooth and clean, and there should be no cracks, peeling, thorns, rough drawing, folds, scars and inclusions. Minor local scratches, marks, spots and pits and other defects should not make the wire diameter exceed its allowable deviation. Lubrication marks that can be washed off on hard wires, slight darkening and slight local oxidation color on soft wires are not used as grounds for scrapping. 2.3 Wire fracture
The wire fracture should be dense, without shrinkage, pores, delamination and impurities. The supplier may not conduct fracture inspection, but must ensure it. 2.4 Mechanical properties
The tensile test results of the wire should comply with the provisions of Table 3. Table 3

2.5 Out-of-roundness
Material shape
The out-of-roundness of the wire shall not exceed the allowable deviation of the diameter. 2.6 Wire reel weight
2.6.1 The weight of the wire reel (spool) shall comply with the provisions of Table 4. line

2.6.2 The permitted delivery weight of each batch of wire is not more than 10% of the lighter wire roll (spool) 3 Test method
3.1 The arbitration analysis method of chemical composition shall be agreed upon by the supplier and the buyer. 3.2 The tensile test shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB228-76 "Metal Tensile Test Method". 4 Inspection rules
4.1 The wire shall be inspected and accepted by the supplier's technical supervision department, and the product quality shall be guaranteed to meet the requirements of this standard. 4.2 Each batch of wire shall be composed of the same brand, specification and state, and the batch weight shall not exceed 500kg. 4.3 The diameter of each roll (spool) of wire shall be measured and the appearance shall be inspected with the naked eye. 4.4 For the tensile test, two rolls (axles) of wire should be taken from each batch, and one sample should be taken from each roll (axle). 4.5 If the test result of each test sample fails, double the number of samples should be taken from the batch for retesting of the failed item. If the retest result fails, the whole batch shall be scrapped or reel (axle) shall be inspected one by one. The qualified ones shall be accepted in a separate batch.
5 Marking, packaging, transportation and storage
Marking, packaging, transportation and storage shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of YB730-70 "General Methods for Packaging, Marking, Transportation and Storage of Heavy Nonferrous Metal Processing Products".
Additional Notes:
This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry of the People's Republic of China. This standard was drafted by the Shanghai Nonferrous Metals Research Institute.
