3 Classification and code
Steel materials are classified according to the delivery status as follows:

d) Weight (or quantity);
e) Delivery status;
f) Other requirements proposed by the purchaser.
5 Dimensions, shape, weight and allowable deviations
5.1 Dimensions
5.1.1 The diameter range of steel wire is 1.00m~16.0mm. 5.1.2 The diameter and allowable deviation of annealed steel wire shall comply with the provisions of Grades 9 to 11 in Table 3 of GB/T342-1997. The specific grade shall be indicated in the contract. If not indicated, it shall be supplied as Grade 11. 5.1.3 The diameter and allowable deviation of polished wire shall comply with the provisions of Grades 9 to 11 in Table 2 of GB/T3207-1988. The specific grade shall be indicated in the contract. If not indicated, it shall be supplied as Grade 11. 5.1.4 According to the requirements of the purchaser, after negotiation between the supply and demand parties and indicated in the contract, steel wire with special size deviation can be supplied. 5.2 Appearance
5.2.1 The steel wire can be delivered in coil or straight bar. The specific delivery state shall be indicated in the contract. When delivered in coil, its minimum coil weight shall comply with the provisions of Table 1. When delivered in straight bar state, its normal length shall comply with the provisions of Table 2. Short lengths in accordance with the provisions of Table 2 are allowed to be supplied, and the weight of the short length shall not exceed 10% of the total weight of the batch. 5.2.2 Upon the request of the purchaser and specified in the contract, straight steel wire can be delivered in fixed length or multiple lengths, and the allowable deviation of its length should not be greater than 50mm. 5.2.3 The curvature of annealed straight steel wire shall not exceed 2mm per meter, and the curvature of polished straight steel wire shall not exceed 1mm per meter. 6.4.1Steel wire with a diameter of not less than 5mm shall be tested for cloth hardness, and the hardness value shall be 207~255HBS. Steel wire with a diameter less than 5 mm shall be tested for Vickers hardness, and its hardness value shall be 206~256 HV. If the supplier can ensure that it is qualified, no inspection is required. 6.4.2 Steel wire samples shall be tested for annealing-tempering hardness, and the heat treatment system and hardness value of the samples shall comply with the provisions of Table 5. 6.4.3 If the supplier can ensure that the annealing-tempering hardness of the steel wire samples complies with the provisions of Table 5, no inspection is required. 3

6.5.2 Carbide particle size

6.5.3 Decarburization layer
6.5.3.1 The total decarburization layer (ferrite + transition layer) depth of one side of cold drawn annealed steel wire shall comply with the provisions of Table 6 (D in Table 6 is the wire diameter).
