To minimize this risk, seed quality is determined by the combination of different characteristics. Scientific testing can accurately screen seeds to predict whether the product is a living thing or a non-living thing. The procedures must be based on scientific knowledge and seed inspection work. This procedure defines the standard definitions and methods that can be used for the highest quality seeds in international trade.
