Its main uses are in the manufacture of nitric acid, inorganic and organic chemical products, chemical fertilizers, and industrial raw materials such as refrigeration, metallurgy, and medicine. Molecular formula: NHa Molecular weight: 17.03 (according to the international atomic weight of 1983) 1 Reference standards GB190 Dangerous goods packaging mark GB3723 Industrial chemical product sample safety general rules GB8570.1~8570.7 Liquid anhydrous ammonia test method 2 Technical requirements 2.1 Appearance: colorless liquid. 2.2 Liquid ammonia should meet the requirements of the following table: Indicator name Superior product Ammonia content, % Residue content, % Water content. % Oil content, ng/kg Iron content, mg/kg 3 Inspection rules 0.1 (Zhongjun method) 5 (Zhongkun method) 2 (Infrared spectroscopy) First-class products Qualified products 3.1 Liquid ammonia should be inspected by the quality supervision department of the manufacturer, and the manufacturer should ensure that all liquid nitrogen shipped out of the factory meets the requirements of this standard. 3.2 Each batch of liquid hydrogen shipped out of the factory should be accompanied by a quality certificate in a certain format, including: manufacturer name, product name, product grade, batch number or tank truck number, production date, product net weight or number of pieces, and this standard number. More. The user has the right to verify whether the received liquid nitrogen meets the requirements in accordance with the provisions of this standard. 3.4 When filling liquid ammonia with steel cylinders, 2% of the total number of bottles shall be sampled for each batch of more than 100 bottles, and samples shall be taken from no less than 2 bottles for 30 to 100 bottles, and samples shall be taken from no less than 1 bottle for less than 30 bottles. When sampling, the steel cylinder shall be placed flat on a large special seat with the valve facing downward. When liquid nitrogen is transported by tank truck, the tank truck shall be equipped with a special sampling device. When liquid ammonia is transported by steel cylinder or tank truck, it is also allowed to sample and inspect before filling. Approved by the Ministry of Chemical Industry of the People's Republic of China on December 2, 1987, and implemented on September 1, 1988 GB536-B8 8.5 If one of the indicators in the test results does not meet the requirements of this standard, re-sampling and re-inspection shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of Article 3.4. Even if only one indicator in the re-inspection result does not meet the requirements of this standard, the entire batch of liquid ammonia cannot be accepted. 6. When the supply and demand parties have a dispute over product quality and need arbitration, arbitration shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the National Bureau of Standards (1985) No. 035 "Interim Measures for National Product Quality Arbitration Inspection". Arbitration shall be conducted in accordance with the inspection rules and inspection methods specified in this standard. 4 Inspection methods Inspection shall be conducted in accordance with GB8570.1~8570.7. 5 Packaging, marking, purchase, storage and transportation 5.1 The cylinders or tank trucks used for filling liquid ammonia shall comply with the relevant provisions of the "Gas Cylinder Safety Supervision Regulations" and "Leli Container Safety Supervision Regulations" issued by the former State Bureau of Labor. The allowable weight filling coefficient is 0.53kg/L. The cylinders or tank trucks shall be regularly washed, dried and purified. 6.2 Oxygen or chlorine cylinders and all containers containing liquid ammonia shall not be filled with liquid ammonia. 5.3 The original container filled with liquid ammonia must be completely exhausted before filling (the air content must be guaranteed to be less than 15%). Steel cylinders that have been filled with other gases must be cleaned, analyzed and identified to confirm that there is no other residual gas and that they meet the requirements of 5.1 before they can be used. 5.4 The outer wall of steel cylinders and tank trucks filled with liquid nitrogen should be painted with yellow paint, and the manufacturer's name, product name and gross weight should be marked with black paint. Mark according to the "toxic gas" regulations in CB190. 5.5 Liquid ammonia cylinders should be stored in warehouses or on shed platforms. When stored outdoors, they should be covered with tents to prevent direct sunlight. 5.6 Steel cylinders and tank trucks for transporting liquid ammonia must comply with the "Dangerous Goods Transportation Rules" formulated by the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China. During transportation, heat should be avoided and fireworks are strictly prohibited. Steel cylinders must have safety caps and be wrapped with rubber rings or straw ropes to prevent violent impact and vibration. 6 Safety Precautions 6.1 Liquid nitrogen is a highly corrosive and toxic substance. It boils at -33.3℃ under standard atmospheric pressure. It has a strong corrosive effect on the skin and eyes, causing severe painful burns. Liquid ammonia vapor strongly irritates mucous membranes and eyes, and has a suffocating effect on the respiratory tract. 16% to 25% (V/V) of anhydrous ammonia gas and air form an explosive mixture. 6.2 The test personnel should fully understand the dangers of liquid ammonia and be familiar with the relevant provisions of GB3723. When entering the site for sampling operations, rubber gloves, rubber aprons and gas masks equipped with nitrogen filters should be worn, and someone should be on guard. 6.3 The handling of liquid nitrogen samples should be carried out in a good fume hood or under well-ventilated conditions. 6.4 Skin damaged by liquid ammonia should be immediately rinsed with water, and then wetted with 3% to 5% boric acid, acetaldehyde or citric acid solution. In severe cases, please go to the hospital for treatment immediately. Additional remarks: The technical requirements of this standard for superior products are equivalent to the Soviet national standard "OC.TB221-82 "Technical Conditions for the Use of Liquid Ammonia". This standard is issued by the Shanghai Chemical Industry Research Institute of the Ministry of Chemical Industry.
