GB/T2900.8-1995 Electrical terminology insulator JB/T 3384--1999 3 Definitions Sampling plan for high-voltage insulators 3.1 The definitions of terms used in this standard, except for those specified in this standard, are in accordance with the provisions of GB/T2900.8. 3.2 Thermal cycle test The test sample is subjected to the specified temperature (air temperature around the test sample) and mechanical load cyclic changes. 3.3 Thermal acid test The test sample after the thermal cycle test is subjected to electromechanical or mechanical damage negative test. 4 Test method 4.1 Test sample and test sample installation The test sample must be extracted from the product that has passed the routine test. If this standard is used to conduct a single thermal test on the test sample, the sample size n (i.e. the number of test samples) is generally 10. After the cyclic test, the electromechanical or mechanical destructive test is carried out. The test piece must bear the tensile load during the test. When bearing the load, the test pieces can be connected in parallel. When connected in parallel, the test pieces must bear equal loads. 4.2 Test procedure The test is divided into two stages: cyclic test and destructive test. 4.2.1 Cyclic test The test piece shall be subjected to four 24h hot and cold cycles. Each cycle shall include a cooling process to -30℃±5 and a heating process to +40℃±5℃ (the temperature refers to the temperature of the air around the test piece), with a minimum temperature difference of 70K. Before the first hot and cold cycle, a tensile load equal to 60% to 65% of the rated electromechanical destructive load shall be applied to the test piece at room temperature. The order of hot and cold cycles is cooling first and then heating. The highest and lowest temperatures shall be maintained continuously for at least 4 hours each. When the high temperature stage of each cycle is over, all tensile loads shall be removed and then reapplied immediately. However, after the last cycle is completed, all tensile loads shall be removed at room temperature. At the end of each cycle, a 45kV power frequency voltage shall be applied to the specimen for 1 minute to check whether the specimen is damaged during the test. 4.2.2 Destruction test After the cyclic test, the specimen shall be subjected to an electromechanical or mechanical destructive load test within one day after the tensile load is removed. According to the number of test samples, the corresponding acceptance constant K can be found in JB/T 3384.
